On September 6, 2025, David Sheregi, 31, Bethlehem, PA, began a conversation with what he believed to be a 13-year-old, 8th-grade female.  The conversation on a social media app turned quickly into David Sheregi telling the child that he wanted to be her boyfriend.  He sent her photos of his genitalia and asked her if she liked them.  He also told her that he wanted to meet her to have sex and continued to explain in graphic detail what type of sexual acts he wanted to perform on her.  He asked the 13-year-old for nude and explicit photos of herself when she was even younger.

He continued to message regularly and then introduced the addition of a second male adult participating in a threesome with them.  He graphically told the child what he and the other adult male would do to her during the sexual encounter and sent another picture of male genitalia, stating that it was the other male's.

David Sheregi agreed to meet with the child for a sexual encounter on September 24, 2025, at her home in Bensalem.  David Sheregi drove from Bethlehem, PA, and arrived wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses, apparently attempting to conceal his identity.  No child was in danger during this investigation.

Bensalem Township Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for David Sheregi, charging him with Attempted Involuntary Deviant Sexual Intercourse, Attempted Sexual Assault of a Minor, Unlawful Contact with a Minor, Sexual Abuse of Children (Photo/Video), Corruption of Minors, and related offenses.  Bensalem Police contacted the Bethlehem Police Department, who went to David Sheregi's residence and took him into custody without incident.

On October 1, 2025, David Sheregi was turned over to Bensalem Police and transported to Bensalem Township.  He was arraigned by District Justice Joseph Falcone and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of $4,000,000 bail.

Bensalem Police continue to remove these dangerous predators from society proactively and remain dedicated to the safety of our children.
