On Sunday, May 25, 2025, at 6:30 PM, Bensalem Police received a call from a citizen about a suspicious male in the Primavera Square Apartments parking lot on Station Avenue. The citizen reported that a black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and carrying a large screwdriver entered a black Hyundai Sonata with the driver's side rear window smashed out.
When the officer arrived, the male was seated in the driver's seat, a broken part of the steering column was on the floor, and shattered glass from the window was observed throughout the vehicle. The officer also observed the male put on a pair of black gloves. When the officer asked him questions, he became evasive and uncooperative. He was removed from the vehicle and refused to show the officer his hands. As the officer secured him for safety reasons, he began to resist, pull away, and tried to flee. The officer held him against the vehicle until backup officers arrived and took him into custody. The subject was identified as Briann Williams-Larose, 20, Norfolk Street, Philadelphia, PA.
Officers contacted the vehicle owner and determined that the vehicle was stolen from the rear of B&B Bagel, 1542 Bristol Pike, Bensalem, just an hour earlier at 5:30 PM. Police obtained video of a subject matching the description of Briann Williams-Larose throwing a rock through the window of the car, entering the vehicle, and driving away.
Briann Williams-Larose was charged with Receiving Stolen Property, Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, and Resisting Arrest. He was arraigned by District Justice Brian Marriott and remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10% of $25,000 bail.
If not for this citizen's keen eye and willingness to call the police, this crime may have gone unsolved. If you see something suspicious, dial 9-1-1 and report it to police.
