On Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at 8:43 am, Bensalem Police responded to Bensalem Beer and Soda located at the intersection of Street Road and Hulmeville Road for the report of bloodstains found in the parking lot along with various personal items.
Upon arrival, investigators reviewed surveillance footage and observed a male actor chasing and stabbing a male victim repeatedly with a knife in the parking lot at 1:41 am. The struggle ended after the victim sustained numerous stab wounds and the actor fled the scene. The victim was severely injured and lying in the parking lot. A short time later, a silver 4 door Infiniti is seen entering the parking lot. The vehicle then runs over the victim twice before the driver of the vehicle gets out, picks up the victim and places him in the back seat of the Infiniti and drives away.
An intense investigation was conducted by Bensalem Police and the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office. The victim was identified as Michael Pickens, 54 years old from Bensalem PA. The actor was identified as Dominique Isaac Harris, 30 years old from Philadelphia. The registration of the silver 2000 Infiniti owned by Dominique Isaac Harris was placed in the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).
Later in the day at 8:20 pm, officers from the 35th District of Philadelphia observed the silver Infiniti and conducted a vehicle stop at Broad Street and Hunting Park Avenue. The driver of the vehicle was Dominique Harris and police observed a large amount of blood in the backseat of the vehicle. The victim, Michael Pickens, was not in the car. Dominique Harris also had a large cut on his right hand.
Dominique Harris was charged with Criminal Homicide and Possession of Instruments of Crime. He was arraigned by Bucks County District Justice Corryn Kronnagel and sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility with no bail.
At approximately 10:00 am on March 31, 2022, Bensalem Police Officer Corporal Andrew Zabierowski discovered the body of the victim, Michael Pickens, dumped in the area of the Cornwells Train Station Park and Ride.
