Wrightstown Township, PA - On Friday, April, 28, 2023 at approximately 17:35hours, Newtown Township Police along with members of the Lingohocken Fire Company and EMS responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash on Worthington Mill Road in the area of Mud Road. “Preliminary” information indicates the operator of a 2019 Audi traveling east on Worthington Mill Road (towards Durham Road), lost control of their vehicle around a bend in the roadway and was unable to regain control before striking a 2017 Subaru traveling west on Wrightstown Road in the opposite lane.
The two occupants (18 & 17 years of age, males) of the Audi received treatment for non-threatening injuries. The occupant of the Subaru (49 year old female), was entrapped and extricated by emergency personnel with severe traumatic injuries. She was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center in extremely critical condition. On Saturday, April 29, 2023, Newtown Township Police were advised that unfortunately, the female operator succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.
