Community Notification for Newtown and Wrightstown Township


Due to the ongoing situation involving coronavirus/COVID-19, the Newtown Township Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance regarding reporting non-emergency services for the following circumstances:

To file non-emergency police reports (fraud complaints, minor property damage, ID theft, lost property, etc.), Please call our 24/7 non-emergency line at 215-328-8524 and ask for an officer to call you or you can email us at during normal business hours, Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

An officer will contact you back to obtain information and document the incident.

We ask that you refrain from visiting the police department if you are sick, have or had a fever or other associated symptoms. We strongly encourage the use of phone and/or email reporting for non-emergency matters. If you are on location at our headquarters, please utilize the “red” phone outside our building and an officer will advise you of proper procedures. Do NOT enter the building!

Also, all fingerprinting, tours of the police department and special policing events will be suspended for the next 30 days.

We are taking these measures to assure the health and safety of our officers and their ability to continue to provide the highest level of protection for our residents.

Wrightstown Township Public Notice


Wrightstown, Pa - On the strong recommendations from Governor Wolf to restrict casual contact in Bucks County to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 Coronavirus, the Wrightstown Township Administrative Offices are temporarily closed “to walk in traffic” from members of the public. This closure is effective immediately with offices to remain closed through Friday, March 27. We plan to reopen on Monday, March 30.

All Wrightstown Boards and Commissions meetings are canceled during this time.  While the lobby doors will be closed, the offices will be fully staffed and will continue to operate during normal business hours of 8:00AM to 4:30PM, Monday through Friday.  You are encouraged to phone or email our staff during this period which can be found on the Township website

Pubic Works employees will also be responding to road issues as normal; contact the Manager’s Office to report a problem.

Limiting access to the Township building is a pre-emptive move meant to help maintain social distances and to slow the spread of the virus. The health and safety of staff and residents is our highest priority. The temporary closure will keep our residents safe from unnecessary public contact and our staff and essential personnel healthy and able to continue services to our residents and customers.
