Newtown Township, Pa - November 20, 2021 at approximately 1130 am, Newtown Police responded to a Dump truck overturn crash at the Newtown Bypass and Swamp Road (@entrance to Tyler Park). The vehicle overturned and entrapped the operator. The male driver was extricated by fire / medical personnel and is in grave condition. All units are on location directing traffic and investigating. Assistance was received from Upper Makefield Township Police Newtown Borough Police Department and Northampton Fire Police.

Newtown Township Police Department crash investigators were called in, as well as supplemental patrol coverage. Chief Hearn is on location.

ROAD CLOSURE:

The Newtown Bypass is closed Southbound at Swamp as well as the main entrance to Tyler State Park.
