NBTPD added a new police officer and recognized some great police work being done by other officers at the June 16th Board of Supervisors meeting.
Marc Weilandics was sworn in as an entry level police officer. Marc is a native of a Long Island, NY. He comes to us with 7 years of policing experience from the NYPD where he spent time patrolling the neighborhoods of Harlem and Astoria. He looks forward to serving the New Britain Township Community and its visitors. In his free time Marc enjoys woodworking, cooking, hiking and spending time with his wife and children.
Officer Citation of Commendation were presented to Officer Daniel Gonzalez and Detective Corporal Shawn Maguire. Officer Gonzalez was presented with a commendation for spending critical time building a rapport with a suicidal subject that could not be located. Officer Gonzalez was instrumental in coordinating the search for and successful finding of the subject. Detective Corporal Maguire was presented with a commendation for his outstanding investigative skills that led to the identification and charging of a burglary suspect that was found to be part of an organized crime syndicate out of New York.
