Our Criminal Investigations Division is supervised directly by the Chief of Police. Detectives are assisted by the patrol division and police administration. This division is specially trained in the investigation of crimes against people and property. Our detectives have specialized training in the investigation of specific crimes, including but not limited to, arson, burglary, computer crimes, frauds and sex offenses. Investigators also have specialized training in the recovery of physical evidence, the interviewing of victims of crime and the interrogation of criminal suspects.

The Criminal Investigations Division completes investigations into criminal matters that exceed the expertise of the patrol division or require extensive follow up or investigation. Both the Patrol Division and Criminal Investigations Division work closely for the quick resolution and successful prosecution of criminal cases.
