The New Britain Township Police Department participates in the Bucks Police Assisting in Recovery (BPAIR) / Supporting Treatment and Recovery (STAR) program, established by the Bucks County Drug and Alcohol Commission and supported by the Bucks County District Attorneys Office. The common goal of the commission and this department is to help individuals with substance use disorder by connecting them with options such as resources, recovery supports, assessments, and treatments. If you or someone you know is seeking help, please call or visit police headquarters during business hours. If you need assistance after-hours, please call Gaudenzia Lower Bucks at 267-478-5664. If you have a medical emergency, please call 911.
NBTPD officers offer this program to anyone we come into contact with who may benefit from outreach such as overdoses, narcotics possession, or DUI. When someone consents, a form is filled out and sent to the appropriate support agent who will contact the individual within 24 hours.
The agencies participating in the program are below, any may be used for outreach. Visit the Bucks County Drug and Alcohol Commission's website for more information.
