A man shot by police during a standoff in Doylestown Township has died.

Thomas Edward Zeller, 61, was pronounced dead Sunday afternoon at Abington Hospital – Jefferson Health. He had been hospitalized since Feb. 20.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office is scheduled to perform an autopsy Monday morning.

Bucks County District Attorney Matthew D. Weintraub is presently reviewing the shooting.

All police-involved shootings occurring in Bucks County are investigated by the Bucks County Detectives and reviewed by the District Attorney.
