ARRESTS
Trespassing, January 2, 2023, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Cory Harris, M/28, Furlong, PA, was arrested on the above charge. Harris was prohibited from the property and was told by the property owner and police not to return. A Criminal Complaint was filed.
Disorderly Conduct/Public Drunkenness, January 7, 2023, S. Hamilton Street, Doylestown Borough – Christian Samios, M/22, Doylestown, PA, was charged with the above offenses after police responded to a fight in progress. The victims and a witness stated that Samios approached four men in a parking lot and swung at one of them without being provoked. Samios had a strong odor of alcohol and EMS was called to evaluate him before transporting him to the hospital. Citations were issued.
Disorderly Conduct, January 8, 2023, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Matthew Eissler, M/22, Chalfont, PA, was cited for the above offense for public urination. A Citation was issued.
Ordinance Violation, January 11, 2023, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Trevor Hough, M/19, Doylestown, PA, was cited for the above offense after a traffic stop resulted in police finding Hough in possession of marijuana. A Citation was issued.
DUI, January 15, 2023, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Naqeeb Ansari, M/28, Perkasie, PA, was arrested on the above charge after a traffic stop due to him driving with no headlights. Ansari presented with a strong odor of alcohol, bloodshot eyes and an unsteady gate when asked to exit his vehicle. After failed field sobriety tests, Ansari was taken into custody and transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood draw. A Criminal Complaint was filed.
Burglary, January 15, 2023, W. State Street, Doylestown Borough - Jean Carolos Ortega-Garrido, M/23, no fixed abode, was arrested on the above charges following officer response to an activated alarm at Ventresca’s Tailoring at approximately 1:30 AM. Upon police arrival, a partially dressed Ortega-Garrido was taken into custody. Ortega-Garrido gained forced entry through the front door causing damage. Clothing was scattered throughout the store with Ortega-Garrido’s clothing found in a fitting room. Other damage included broken ceiling tiles and metal bracket that held merchandise in place. Ortega-Garrido was arraigned, bail set at $25,000 secured and remanded to Bucks County Prison. A Criminal Complaint was filed.
Weapons Violation, January 17, 2023, E. Butler Avenue, Chalfont Borough - Quenton Christian, M/26, Philadelphia, PA, was arrested on the above charges after police were notified that he attempted to purchase a firearm, in September 2022 at Bunker Gun Shop II, 143 E. Butler Avenue, Chalfont, PA, and falsified the documents that he submitted. Christian was arraigned, bail set at $25,000 unsecured, with conditions. A Criminal Complaint was filed.
Ordinance Violation, January 18, 2023, Union Street, Doylestown Borough – Latrice Johnson, F/39, Hatfield, PA, was cited for the above offense after a traffic stop. Police found Johnson to be in possession of marijuana and a Citation was issued.
Liquor Law Violations, January 21, 2023, W. Ashland Street, Doylestown Borough – Jack Maksym, M/19, Pipersville, PA, and Aleah Chavez, F/19, Jamison, PA, were both cited for underage drinking after police responded to a call for assistance. Citations were issued.
DUI, January 24, 2023, W. Butler Avenue, Chalfont Borough – Christopher Mitchell, M/49, Shickshinny, PA, was charged with the above offense after a traffic stop where Mitchell presented with bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and an unsteady gate. Following failed field sobriety tests, Mitchell was taken to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood draw. He was processed, arraigned, bail set at 10% of $10,000 and remanded to Bucks County Prison. A Criminal Complaint was filed.
Ordinance Violation, January 27, 2023, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Randie Tanner, F/27, Pipersville, PA, was cited for the above offense after a traffic stop for driving with no lights on. During the traffic stop Tanner was found in possession of marijuana. A Citation was issued.
Ordinance Violation, January 29, 2023, W. State Street, Doylestown Borough – Miranda Heath, F/22, Doylestown, PA, was cited for the above offense after a traffic stop for an expired registration. The officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and Heath was found to be in possession of marijuana. Citation was issued.
Criminal charges, and any discussion thereof, are merely allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
CRIME AND OTHER INCIDENTS
Theft, January 5, 2023, 425 S. Main Street (Wawa), Doylestown Borough – Two unknown subjects stole candy and cigarettes valued at $212.
Counterfeiting Incidents, Multiple businesses have reported falling victim throughout Doylestown Borough – Please be on the lookout for counterfeit bills. Talk to your staff and make sure that they are familiar with how to recognize them. This is an ongoing investigation, please contact police if you encounter any at your business.
