ARRESTS
Harassment – December 1, 2022, 432 Maple Avenue (Harborview), Doylestown Borough – Richard C. Dixon, M/54, of Philadelphia, PA, was arrested for the above offense after police responded to the facility based on an incident that took place on 11/28/22. Dixon, a Harborview housekeeper, smacked the victim’s hand, causing a bruise, in an effort to stop the victim from getting an item from the vending machine. A citation has been filed.
Criminal Trespass and Harassment – December 2, 2022, 300 block of N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Cory Michael Harris, M/28, of Philadelphia, PA, was charged with Criminal Trespass and Harassment after being let into a residence, where he is not allowed entry, and engaged in a physical altercation where minor injuries were sustained by both parties. A Criminal Complaint has been filed. Christopher L. Wagner, M/44, of Doylestown, PA, was also charged with Harassment for mutual physical engagement. A Citation has been filed.
DUI – December 4, 2022, State and Main Streets, Doylestown Borough – Joseph M. Ottaviano, M/42, of Doylestown, PA, was charged with the above offense following a traffic stop for traveling the wrong way on a one-way street. Ottaviano presented with glassy eyes, slurred speech and an odor of alcohol. Field sobriety tests were unable to be completed due to alleged impairment and was subsequently brought to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood draw. A Criminal Complaint has been filed.
Simple Assault, Harassment, Disorderly Conduct – December 5, 2022, Oak Drive, New Britain Borough – Errol Barnaby, Jr. was arrested on December 5, 2022, for the above offenses from an incident taking place on December 4, 2022. Police were dispatched to a domestic assault at a residence on December 4, 2022. A physical altercation led to Barnaby striking the victim in the face and property damage to the home. At the time of police response, Barnaby was not at the residence and an Arrest Warrant was issued. On December 5, 2022, Barnaby was taken into custody by Montgomery Township and transferred to CBRPD for processing. Barnaby was arraigned, bail set at $35,000 (10%) and remanded to Bucks County Prison.
Simple Assault – December 6, 2022, 432 Maple Avenue (Harborview), Doylestown Borough – Alan C. Palmer, M/66, of Doylestown, PA, was charged with the above offense after punching another resident in the face with no provocation. A Criminal Complaint has been filed.
Simple Assault and Harassment – December 9, 2022, 19 N. Main Street (Chambers Restaurant), Doylestown Borough - Eric Ryan Sheldon, M/43, of Doylestown, PA, was charged with the above offense following police dispatch for a physical altercation outside of Chambers Restaurant. Sheldon and the victim were asked to leave Chambers after having a minor scuffle. Once outside, Sheldon struck the victim in the face causing him to fall. While on the ground, Sheldon kicked the victim and punched him again. A Criminal Complaint has been filed.
Public Drunkenness, December 11, 2022, 37 N. Main Street (Moms Restaurant), Doylestown Borough - Amir Twitty, M/21, of Doylestown, PA, was charged with the above offense when police found Twitty passed out in front of Moms Restaurant. Twitty was woken and fell asleep several times during conversation with police, presented as incoherent and slurred speech. EMS transferred Twitty to Doylestown Hospital for medical attention. A Citation has been filed.
Drug Violation, December 11, 2022, 152 E. Butler Avenue (Calvary Church), Chalfont Borough – Jennifer Anne Hesselgesser, F/41, of Philadelphia, PA, was charged with the above offense following police dispatch for well being check. Hesselgesser presented under the influence and in possession of illegal substances and paraphernalia. EMS was called out of precaution, but Hesselgesser refused assistance. Hesselgesser was taken into custody on an Active Warrant out of Philadelphia and remanded to Bucks County Prison. A Criminal Complaint has been filed.
Theft by Unlawful Taking, Fraud-Impersonating, Receiving Stolen Property, Access Device Fraud, and Forgery, December 13, 2022, 210 Butler Avenue (Phase4 Contractors), New Britain Borough – John Michael Shala, M/44, of Mahony City, PA, was taken into custody by another agency with an Arrest Warrant. Shala will also be held on CBRPD’s Arrest Warrant for the above offenses stemming from incident reported on August 26, 2022. Shala made several fraudulent purchases, on the business credit card, at two different Lowes locations for approximately $6,500.
Aggravated Assault, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Trespass, Disorderly Conduct, Public Drunkenness, Criminal Mischief – December 19, 2022, 10 N. Main Street (Starbucks), Doylestown Borough - Joseph “Joel” Placid Harrison was arrested for the above offenses after police were dispatched for a suspicious person complaint at Starbucks. Harrison was making a disturbance yelling, swearing and playing music on a high volume through a portable speaker. Starbucks requested Harrison be removed from the establishment. Police warned Harrison that he would be arrested if he did not leave immediately. Harrison refused to leave, threw his full cup of coffee and laid on the ground yelling. Harrison resisted while he was placed under arrest and continued being combative after police escorted him outside. Harrison laid on the ground outside the police vehicle and bit the officer in the leg. Harrison was arraigned, bail set at $350,000 (10%) and remanded to Bucks County Prison. A Criminal Complaint was filed.
Simple Assault, Harassment – December 24, 2022, W. Ashland Street, Doylestown Borough – John Billie, M/55, Doylestown, PA, was arrested for the above offenses after police responded to a domestic disturbance. The victim stated that a verbal argument escalated which resulted in Billie punching the victim in the face. Billie was taken into custody, arraigned, bail set at $10,000 unsecured with conditions. A Criminal Complaint was filed.
Disorderly Conduct – December 30, 2022, N. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Artsem Sianiuta, M/24, Warminster, PA, was cited for urinating in public.
Disorderly Conduct – December 30, 2022, E. State Street, Doylestown Borough – Bryce Dickey, M/21, Perkasie, PA, was cited for urinating in public.
Simple Assault, Harassment – December 31, 2022, W. State Street, Doylestown Borough – Eric Ryan Sheldon, M/43, Doylestown, PA, was arrested on the above charges after police were called to a domestic disturbance in progress. When police arrived, the victim was outside and told police that Sheldon pushed them against the wall causing them to fall down and sustain bodily injury. Police took Sheldon into custody after he admitted to being involved in an altercation and pushing the victim into the wall. He was arraigned, bail set at 10% of $10,000, and remained to Bucks County Prison. A Criminal Complaint was filed.
Criminal charges, and any discussion thereof, are merely allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
CRIME AND OTHER INCIDENTS
Retail Theft – December 5, 2022, 425 S. Main Street (Wawa), Doylestown Borough – Four unknown males reportedly stole four cases of candy and Red Bull valued at approximately $450.
Theft – December 17, 2022, Details Salon, 212 S. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Report of catalytic converter being cut off vehicle between the hours of 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM.
Criminal Mischief to Auto – December 18, 2022, E. Oakland Avenue, Doylestown Borough – Report of vehicle tires slashed and scratches on vehicle that took place between December 16, 2022 (5:30 PM) and December 18, 2022 (11:00 AM).
Theft – December 19, 2022, 200 Veterans Lane (Wesley Enhanced Living), Doylestown Borough – Report of missing rings from dresser drawer of resident totaling approximately $9,000.
Theft – December 22, 2022, Fonthill Drive, Doylestown Borough – Report of a catalytic converter being cut off of a vehicle during the overnight hours.
Theft – December 28, 2022, Fonthill Drive, Doylestown Borough – Report of a stolen 2023 Nissan Rouge from the parking lot during the overnight hours.
Theft – December 30, 2022, Chalfont Borough (Pine Creek Condos, Patriot Station Condos) – report of 11 vehicles being entered during the overnight hours. Most were just ransacked and had items scattered throughout the vehicle, a few others had money and/or cards taken. Please make sure that you are locking your vehicles and removing valuables.
Identity Theft and Fraud, numerous incidents occurring on a regular basis – Please continue to be vigilant and cautious. DO NOT give out your personal/financial information over the phone or via email without first confirming who you are giving it to.
