ARRESTS
DUI, Reckless Endangering Another Person Arrest, September 16, 2020, 8:06 PM, W. Butler and S. Tamenend Avenues, New Britain Borough – Michael O’Brien, M/48, of Doylestown, PA, was arrested for the above offense following investigation of a two-vehicle collision. O’Brien was driving the striking vehicle, presented with unsteady gait, odor of alcohol, clothing disheveled and unable to steady himself. Field Sobriety tests failed and subsequent blood draw at Doylestown Hospital. A Criminal Complaint has been filed.
Disorderly Conduct and Public Drunkenness Arrest, September 17, 2020, 2:00 PM, Veterans Lane (UPS Store), Doylestown Borough – Alexander Ivanenko, M/51, of Brooklyn, NY, was arrested for the above offenses when police were dispatched to the UPS store for report of intoxicated male urinating on the side of the building. Ivanenko presented with an odor of alcoholic beverage, bloodshot/glassy eyes and unsteady gait. Ivanenko was taken into custody and ambulance called for medical care. Citations have been filed.
DUI, Reckless Endangering Another Person Arrest, September 18, 2020, 9:30 AM, E. Butler Avenue and Moyer Road, Chalfont Borough – Louis M. McKay, M/66, of Chalfont, PA, was arrested for the above offenses. Police received a dispatch for a reckless driver, when police located the vehicle it was observed in that moment to cause a traffic accident. McKay presented with a strong odor of alcoholic beverage and glassy eyes. McKay was unable to perform Field Sobriety tests and admitted to drinking “way to much.” An ambulance arrived to assess McKay. McKay was transported to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood draw which was refused. Subsequent warrant was drawn and served to collect blood for lab analysis.
DUI, Obstruct Administration of Law, September 22, 2020, 3:08 PM, N. Main and Broad Streets, Doylestown Borough – Mary Catherine Conner, F/62, of Doylestown PA, was arrested for the above offenses. Police were dispatched for report of reckless speeding driver on N. Main Street with witnesses stating sparks and fresh gouge marks were on the road from Conner driving without a front tire. When police located Connor, she presented with an odor of alcoholic beverage was unsteady and speech slurred. Field Sobriety tests were failed and legal blood draw refused. Subsequent search warrant for blood draw was refused by Conner. A Criminal Complaint has been filed.
DUI Arrest – September 23, 2020, 7:03 PM, S. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Mary Catherine Conner, F/62, of Doylestown PA, was arrested for the above offense following a traffic stop for heavy front end damage to the vehicle. Conner first stated she didn’t hit anything, then said she hit something but didn’t know what. Due several observations leading to suspicion of DUI, Field Sobriety tests were administered and failed. Legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital. A Criminal Complaint has been filed.
Criminal charges, and any discussion thereof, are merely allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
CRIME AND INCIDENTS
Thefts, September 16-30, 2020 - Numerous reports of unknown person(s) stealing political signs from residential properties throughout the Boroughs of Chalfont, Doylestown and New Britain.
Theft, September 22, 2020, 78 S. Main Street (Jules Pizza), Doylestown Borough – Unknown person witnessed stealing a BMX-style gold bicycle with paradise seat theme from outside the establishment.
Theft, September 29, 2020, Keeley Avenue, New Britain Borough – Unknown person(s) entered shed on residential property and stole a white and black 2015 Husquvarna TC125 dirt bike valued at approximately $4,500.
