ARRESTS
Drug Violation Arrest – August 18, 2020, 10:51 AM, 300 block of E. Butler Avenue, New Britain Borough – Michael Robert Kratz, M/31, of Harleysville, PA, was arrested for the above offense following a traffic stop for expired registration. Illegal substance was found to be in the vehicle. A Criminal Complaint has been filed.
Defiant Trespass Arrest – August 19, 2020, 7:44 PM, 200 Town Center (Giant), New Britain Borough – Kevin Michael Orzech, M/38, of New Britain, PA, was arrested for the above offense after entering the Giant when previously banned from the store. A Criminal Complaint has been filed.
DUI Arrest – August 25, 2020, 9:41 PM, Harvey Avenue, Doylestown Borough – Marc Brandon Miller, M/28 of Bristol, PA, was arrested for the above offense following a traffic stop for traveling the wrong way on a one-way street. Miller was also charged with driving on suspended license, possession of illegal substance and drug paraphernalia. Upon failure of field sobriety tests, Miller was transported to Doylestown Hospital for blood draw. A Criminal Complaint has been filed.
Aggravated Assault, Strangulation Arrest – August 26, 2020, 2:40 PM, 400 block of S. Main Street, Doylestown Borough – Kevin David MCafferty, M/74, no fixed abode, was arrested for the above offenses. Police had responded to a request for a well-being check where they found the victim had been assaulted by Kevin McCafferty, known to the victim. Witnesses stated he fled in his vehicle after the assault. Victim suffered extensive injuries to the face and arms; redness and bruising under the neck. McCafferty was taken into custody in Plumstead at which time he received additional charges from Plumstead Police for brandishing a knife at officers and removed a 4-foot sword from his vehicle pointing it at officers. McCafferty was arraigned on CBRPD charges of the initial assault, bail set at $200,000 and remanded to Bucks County Prison.
Defiant Trespass, August 26, 2020, 115 W. Court Street (Wells Fargo Bank), Doylestown Borough – Donna Willard, F/69 of New Britain, PA, was arrested for the above charge after refusing to leave the bank branch and following bank procedures. Willard continue refusal to leave upon police arrival. A Criminal Complaint has been filed.
Criminal charges, and any discussion thereof, are merely allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
CRIME AND INCIDENTS
Bicycle Theft – August 19, 2020, between 2:00 PM and 10:00 PM, 100 block of Wood Street, Doylestown Borough – Unknown person(s) reportedly stole a black and white mountain bike from the side of a residence.
Vandalism – August 25, 2020 during the overnight hours, 300 block Broad Street, Doylestown Borough – Unknown person(s) tagged a dumpster in red paint with “KNOW2” or possibly “KNOWS” in a parking lot.
