ARRESTS
Theft, Receiving Stolen Property Arrest – August 7, 2020, 11:00 AM, 196 E. Butler Avenue (Tommy Carr’s Tire & Auto), Chalfont Borough – A male juvenile, an employee of Tommy Carr’s, was charged for stealing a Snap On brand butane torch, valued at approximately $73. A Juvenile Allegation has been filed.
DUI Arrest – August 8, 2020, 1:09 AM, East and Main Streets, Doylestown Borough - Samuel Randolph Davis, /26, of Lansdale, PA, was arrested for the above offense following a vehicle stop for speeding and aggressive driving. Police then observed the vehicle in a parking lot reversing and turning right onto East Street failing to stop for a steady red traffic light. The vehicle failed to stop and eventually pulled over for police at the 800 block of N. Easton Road, Plumstead Township. Davis presented with bloodshot, glassy eyes and odor of alcoholic beverage. Davis failed field sobriety tests and was taken to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood draw. A Criminal Complaint has been filed.
DUI Arrest (Juvenile) – August 15, 2020, 9:34 PM, S. Main Street and W. Oakland Avenue, Doylestown Borough – A male juvenile has been charged with DUI following a vehicle stop for making an illegal left turn from Main Street onto Oakland Avenue. Juvenile presented with shaking hand and drawn out responses leading to a failed Field Sobriety Tests. Juvenile was taken to Doylestown Hospital for legal blood draw. A Juvenile Allegation has been filed.
Terroristic Threats, Assault, Possession Instrument of Crime, Harassment Arrest – August 16, 2020, 495 East Street (7-11 Store), Doylestown Borough - Police responded to a report of an armed subject at the 7-11 Store at 495 East Street in Doylestown Borough at approximately 9:58 PM on August 16, 2020. Employees recognized a customer as the subject, Jeremy Cannafax, who stole cigarettes the week before. Employees locked the doors until police arrived so Cannafax wouldn't leave. Cannafax produced a folding knife and opened it up exposing the blade. Subsequently taken into custody, Cannafax was arraigned, bail set $25,000 10%, with bail restrictions, and remanded to Bucks County Prison
Burglary, Criminal Trespass, Criminal Mischief Arrest – August 17, 2020 (Incident Date July 8, 2020), 10 S. Clinton Street (Landmark Building), Doylestown Borough – Alexis Brian Sulyma, M/45, no fixed abode, turned himself in on an active Arrest Warrant. On July 8, 2020, owner of the Landmark Building reported a white male, later identified as Sulyma, had forced his way into the exterior doors to the basement of the building. Damage also included removal of smoke detectors, lights and motion sensor from the walls. Police found evidence of Sulyma living in the building over the holiday weekend with belongings and paperwork left behind. Video surveillance confirmed unlawful entry and Sulyma was identified. Sulyma was arraigned, bail set at $25,000 unsecured with bail restrictions.
Criminal charges, and any discussion thereof, are merely allegations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
CRIME AND INCIDENTS
Hit and Run Accident – August 10, 2020, 200 West State Street (Simply Fresh parking lot) - Unknown vehicle struck a parked Toyota Rav-4 causing damage to the driver side door. The striking vehicle is described as a dark-colored Nissan Pathfinder. Anyone with information should contact Ofc Tim Conboy at 215-345-4143.
