Location: 14 Liberty Street Newtown Borough Pa 18940 ( Newtown Fire Association Station 45 )
Newtown Borough Police Department will coordinate with the Bucks County District Attorney's Office and other government agencies in efforts on removing potentially dangerous controlled substances from our medicine cabinets. The National Take-Back day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medication.
Collection Day Protocols
***We will be following all CDC, State and Federal guidelines for this event. Anyone participating in the event are asked to pull up and drop off in the designated boxes.
~Controlled, non-controlled, and over the counter medications will be collected.
~Collection efforts may be combined with community drug awareness activities and involve the distribution of brochures and other information.
~This program is absolutely anonymous. No questions or requests for identification will be made by law enforcement personnel present.
~Shards Disposal during Take Back Day
~Illegal substances WILL NOT be accepted
