Medication Take Back Disposal Box

The Newtown Borough Police Department Medication Take Back Disposal Box at our police station. This initiative aims to provide a safe and convenient way for residents to dispose of unused or expired medications, helping to prevent drug abuse and protect our environment.

The disposal box is available 24/7 and is located in the lobby of our police station. Residents can deposit their unwanted medications anonymously, and the contents will be properly disposed of in accordance with federal and state regulations.

Acceptable items for disposal include:

• Pills, capsules, and tablets
• Liquids, creams, and ointments
• Patch medications
• Vials and injectables

Please note that the following items are not accepted:

• Needles and sharps
• Thermometers
• Biohazardous materials
• Chemotherapy drugs
