As part of our ongoing commitment to public safety, the Newtown Borough Police Department would like to remind residents of the importance of emergency preparedness. In the event of a medical emergency, every second counts. Since 1952 Newtown EMS volunteer and career paramedics and emergency medical technicians respond to 911 calls from the community with pride, professionalism, and a true desire to help those who are sick or injured.
Newtown EMS is dedicated to providing prompt and professional medical response to our community. However, we need your help to ensure that our emergency responders can reach you quickly and safely.
Please take a moment to:
- Post your house numbers clearly and visibly to facilitate easy location.
- Keep emergency phone numbers handy, including 911 and the Newtown EMS non-emergency line.
- Stay informed about weather conditions and road closures that may impact emergency response times.
