Soliciting or peddling

Soliciting without a permit is illegal in Newtown Borough.  Soliciting permits can be picked up at Newtown Borough Police Department during normal business hours.  Applicant must provide a photo identification, and the results from a criminal records background check from the Pennsylvania State Police.  Non-profit groups are exempt from the fee, but must still notify Newtown Borough Police Department they will be in the area.

2017 Peddling and/or Soliciting Fees:

Fee is $ 20.00 per day

Fee is $125.00 Semi-Annually

Fee is $225.00 Per Year
