Two men were sentenced on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024, to five to 10 years in state prison for committing a home-invasion robbery in Hilltown Township where they posed as sheriff’s deputies.

Zbigniew Still, 22, of Philadelphia, and Jarrett Fort, 19 of Glenside, pleaded guilty to robbery, burglary, conspiracy to commit robbery, and two counts of theft by unlawful taking.

Common Pleas Judge Stephen A. Corr sentenced them both to five to 10 years on the robbery charge and a concurrent three-to-six-year sentence on the burglary charge.

"I am proud of the great work done in this case," District Attorney Jennifer Schorn said. "Thankfully home invasion robberies are exceptionally rare in Bucks County.  However, when they do happen, law enforcement  will devote countless resources to identify and apprehend the perpetrators and we will prosecute to the fullest extent."

On May 25, 2023, Hilltown Township Police were dispatched to a home in the 100 block of Reliance Place on a report of a home-invasion robbery.

The investigation found that three men arrived at the location in a rented vehicle and were dressed as sheriff’s deputies. The men wore masks and claimed to be with the Sheriff’s Department and had a warrant. Armed with a firearm, the men forced their way into the home.

The men zip tied the victim and moved him to another location in the home. They then stole two firearms, a large quantity of marijuana, $4,000 in currency and miscellaneous clothing items.

The three men fled the home, and the victim was able to call for help. Law enforcement was able to identify two of the three men as Still and Fort. The third man was never identified, and the firearms were never recovered.

This case was investigated by Hilltown Township Detective James Towhey and was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Edward Furman Jr.
