2023 Rosner Khalouf Awards
DA Weintraub presents award to ADA Chad Kovack
DA Weintraub presents award to DDA Monica Furber

Prosecutors Awarded for Outstanding Work and Public Service

The Bucks County District Attorney's Office honored two prosecutors for their outstanding work and public service on Wednesday during a privately held award ceremony at the Bucks County Justice Center.

Deputy District Attorney Monica W. Furber and Assistant District Attorney Chad R. Kovack were recognized with awards for excellence, given to honor the legacy of two beloved and skilled prosecutors who were both tragically lost in automobile crashes.

Furber earned the Robert Rosner Memorial Award for Exceptional Public Service, Professionalism and Integrity, and Kovack the Danny E. Khalouf Memorial Award for Outstanding Performance. Both were nominated and voted on by their peers to receive the awards.

Furber joined the District Attorney’s Office in 2005, currently serving as the Chief of Domestic Violence in the Special Victims Division. Additionally, she serves as the coordinator for the Bucks County Community Accountability Panel (CAP) program, a diversionary program for low-level misdemeanors and summaries at the district court level throughout Bucks County.

District Attorney Matt Weintraub presented her with the award, saying her colleagues nominated her because she “always so positive, always willing to help anyone and is happy to share her expertise with domestic cases.” They also said she runs a fantastic courtroom, and is a true team player.

Kovack, affectionately known in the office as “The Chad,” has been with the office since 2019 and is currently assigned to the Drug and Firearms Crimes Division and the Bucks-Montco Auto Theft Task Force. In his nominations by his peers, Kovack was described as “fearless and willing to put in the work without complaints.”

During the awards ceremony, now in its 7th year, District Attorney Weintraub shared stories about his experiences working with Rosner and Khalouf and how they impacted his life.

“It’s my honor to be able to do this every year,” he said to the courtroom crowd, which included members of the District Attorney’s Office, the families of Kovack and Furber and the family and friends of Danny Khalouf and Robert Rosner.
