A 27-year-old man pleaded guilty Wednesday to robbing two massage parlors, one of them on Christmas Day in Warminster, and will serve up to 11 years in state prison.
Jonathan M. Kacewich, of Philadelphia, appeared before Common Pleas Judge Charissa J. Liller and pleaded guilty to two counts each of robbery and criminal conspiracy to commit robbery, one count of prohibited possession of a firearm and four count each of theft and simple assault.
Liller sentenced Kacewich to 5 ½ to 11 years in a state correctional facility.
On the afternoon of Dec. 25, 2019, Kacewich entered a massage parlor in the 200 block of West Street Road in Warminster and robbed employees of a purse and three cellphones. The investigation also revealed a second person, Devinn Hall, 26, of Philadelphia, served as a lookout.
Four days later, Kacewich and Hall robbed a massage parlor in Abington Township, Montgomery County, and took two cellphones and $940 in cash.
Police were able to identify Kacewich after sharing surveillance footage and photos of an armed suspect in the massage parlor robberies who had distinctive tattoos on both hands.
Kacewich was arrested on Jan. 2 by Philadelphia police. Hall was arrested about a month later.
Hall pleaded guilty on Sept. 1 to multiple counts of robbery, criminal conspiracy to commit robbery, theft and receiving stolen property. He is awaiting sentencing.
The robberies were investigated by Warminster Township Police, Abington Township Police and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Violent Crime Unit.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Megan Stricker.
