From Springfield Township Police:

William R. Wright, formerly of Springfield Twp, Bucks County, was arrested on 06/18/2024 following an extremely lengthy investigation with the cooperation of Springfield Township Police Department and the Bucks County Detectives.  A big shout-out and thank you to the Officers of Springfield Township and the Bucks County Detectives assigned to this case!! 

Wright was arrested on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges including Drug Delivery Resulting in Death, Criminal Use of Communication Facility, Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession with Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Involuntary Manslaughter, Intentional Possession of a Controlled Substance by Person Not Registered.

This case stemmed from a death investigation at the Scenic View Apartments in Springfield Township almost 2 years ago, of which Officers and Detectives thoroughly investigated the circumstances and evidence surrounding the death, ultimately leading them to launch an investigation resulting in the arrest of Wright.  

Wright was arrested, arraigned, and sent to Bucks County Prison in lieu of $750,000 bail. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for July 1. 

This case is assigned for prosecution to Deputy District Attorney Thomas C. Gannon.
