A Falls Township man has been charged with attempted homicide for stabbing, beating and choking his wife.
Bao Thien Le, 23, of the 200 block of South Olds Blvd., was arrested Thursday afternoon after township police found him in the act of choking his 22-year-old victim.
Officers made entry to Le's residence just before 3:30 p.m. while responding to a 911 call stating a man at that address was choking a woman. Police ended the attack by physically removing Le from his victim.
The woman received medical treatment for her injuries, including several stab wounds to her head and torso. Evidence shows the woman was stabbed with a screwdriver. Her injuries are not life threatening.
Le faces counts of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, possession of an instrument of crime, strangulation and recklessly endangering another person. He was arraigned on the charges late Thursday. District Judge Jan Vislosky set bail at 10 percent of $9 million.
Detectives from the Falls Township Police Department led the initial investigation with assistance from Bucks County Detectives. Falls Township Police continue to investigate.
The case has been assigned for prosecution to Assistant District Attorney Megan A. Hunsicker.
