Domestic abuser sentenced to up to five years in state prison for fifth domestic assault against victim

A Tullytown man was sentenced Tuesday morning to 2 ½ to five years in state prison in his fifth domestic abuse case against the same woman.

Bryan Trentini, 37, of Laurel Lane, entered an open guilty plea in April to terroristic threats, stalking, harassment, criminal mischief, loitering and prowling at night and theft. He had previously pleaded guilty for abusing the victim in 2019, 2018, 2015 and 2013.

In a victim impact statement, the victim said she fears for her life because Trentini has never complied with protection-from-abuse or court orders. A Bucks County probation officer also detailed the failures of the defendant to comply with any portions of his supervision.

Because of the continued pattern of abuse, Assistant District Attorney Brittney Kern requested Trentini be sentenced in the aggravated range, which Common Pleas Judge Raymond F. McHugh did by sending him to state prison for 2 ½ to 5 years.

His most recent arrest happened in November 2021.

Tullytown Borough Police received multiple calls from the victim between Nov. 12 and Nov. 22, 2021, reporting that Trentini had been loitering around her property, entering her home without permission, and taking items from inside and outside her home.

She said he also continuously harassed her and threatened to cause her serious bodily injury or death.

An active no-contact order was in place since August 2021, meaning Trentini was not allowed to have any contact with the victim. She told police he violated the order several times.

A Domestic Violence Investigation Report detailed Trentini’s past abuse against the victim, which included guilty pleas to simple assault in 2019, 2018 and 2015 and a guilty plea to harassment in 2013.

Trentini was sentenced to county jail in each of the last three pleas and had repeatedly violated no-contact orders against the victim, the report showed.

This case was investigated by the Tullytown Borough Police Department and was prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Kristin McElroy and Assistant District Attorney Brittney Kern.
