In recognition of the tragic loss of United States Capital Police Officer Brian Sicknick, the Bristol Borough Police have lowered the American Flag in front of Borough Hall to half staff. This flag was presented in recognition of Maddalyn's "outstanding service to our community," as listed on the certificate that was also presented to Maddalyn. Bristol Borough Police teamed up with the American Hose & Hook & Ladder Company to provide Halloween Treats to the Borough Children. A drive through was setup at the Firehouse and firefighters along with police officers gave out prepackaged candy. The Bristol borough Police thanks the members of American Hook & Hose & Ladder for this community outreach opportunity.
The Bristol borough Police received a visit from a caring friend. Maddalyn Stadler of Levittown, made and delivered care packages for the police officers. Maddalyn's parent is a childhood friend of Officer James Ellis. Maddalyn told her parents that she did not like the way police officers have been treated lately. She came up with the idea of making the care packages and that is when her parent contacted Officer Ellis. The Bristol Borough Police
The Bristol Borough Police would like to thank the community, demonstrators, organizers and assisting emergency service personnel that participated in the Black Lives Matter march that took place in Bristol Borough. The event was conducted in a safe and peaceful manner which respected the rights of those who wanted to be heard. We are proud to be part of the Bristol Community which came together in this time of crisis.
