GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Be a United States citizen.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a police officer.
• Possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, or another state.
• Meet the certification requirements of the Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission under Act 120 prior to the time of hire.
• Only applicants who have successfully completed the recruit training course at a school certified by the Municipal Police Officers Education and Training Commission under Act 120 prior to the time of hire, shall be considered for employment.
