Over the past few weeks, we have seen great changes in the way we live, work and play in our community. We have been witness to a pandemic that has gripped our area, our nation and the world. I would like to first thank our residents and our businesses for taking heed in the warnings set out by our local and Commonwealth officials by limiting our face to face interactions and practicing our social distancing. These short term actions will, hopefully, help to stave off the spread of this virus and help move us back to our “normal” routine more quickly.
Secondly, I would like to recognize all of our First Responders and all of our essential personnel who are working to keep our community safe and operating efficiently.
The Plumstead Township Police Department is working at full staff to continue providing service to our residents. Our office hours remain 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday with 24 hour officer response to calls for service.
If you have concerns about any of our residents during this time, especially our older adults, feel free to contact our office by phone and request a welfare check. If you see any suspicious activity at a business that is closed due to the Governor’s Order, contact police immediately.
Thank you to our residents and businesses for all that you are doing to help Plumstead Township during this time.
David A. Mettin
Chief of Police
