3/28/2022
At 2:32 am, Officers Investigated a parked car in the Plumstead Square shopping center that did not have valid registration displayed. Upon contact with the vehicle, it was revealed the male driver had an active bench warrant for his arrest with the Bucks County Sheriff Office. Avery Hellstrom, 39, of Macungie was taken into custody and was later released to the Bucks County Sheriffs.
At 1:00 pm, Officers responded to a call for a house fire on Old Easton Road. The Plumsteadville Fire Company along with several other surrounding fire departments responded to extinguish the fire and remained on scene. The home was unoccupied at the time of the call.
3/31/2022
At 7:57 pm, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of North Easton Road on a blue Chevy pickup. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. The operator Troy Maychuk,31, Doylestown, was unable to satisfactorily perform field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. The charges are pending blood evidence results.
4/1/2022
At 4:24 pm, Officers responded to Giant on Swamp Road in reference to a retail theft that occurred on 3/30/2022. The suspect concealed items with an estimated value of $200.00 before exiting the store without purchase. The incident is currently under investigation.
4/2/2022
At 9:01 am, Officers investigated a call for a suspicious occurrence at a vacant property on Point Pleasant Pike. Damage to the homes rear door was observed and a window was left open on the second floor. Officers performed an interior check, and no contact was made. The owner of the property was made aware of the damages and the incident is under investigation.
4/3/2022
At 6:36 pm, Officers investigated a complaint for a male panhandling in the Cross Keys Shopping Center. Upon arrival Officers spoke with store employees who had concerns about the situation. The subject was no longer on scene at the time the Officers arrival.
