2/21/23

• At 10:15am, A Plumstead Township resident reported a fraudulent transaction that previously occurred.  The complainant related that she sent a total of $200,000 to an online person of interest.  The victim was provided a Victim's rights packet and is working with the department’s Victim Services Unit. The incident is under investigation.
• At 3:20pm, Officers responded to the area of Planters Drive for a fraud complaint. The complainant related she received a phone call from a male identifying himself as a Montgomery County Sheriff. He requested a sum of 18,000.00, claiming she was a victim of fraud. The complainant disconnected the line, and a report was filed.

2/23/23

• At 9:20am, Officers were dispatched to a criminal mischief call not in progress. The complainant stated that he was driving on Easton Road, when an individual walking along the shoulder of the roadway reached out and punched his side mirror resulting in damage. Officers were able to identify the actor and the incident is under investigation.

2/24/23

• At 4:30pm, A Plumstead Township resident contacted the Department to report a fraudulent transaction. The resident received notification from PNC bank that a line of credit was opened in his name totaling over $135,000.The victim was provided with a Victim's rights packet and the incident is under investigation.
