INCIDENT BLOTTER 12/5/2022-12/18/2022
12/5/22
At 12:10pm, Officers responded to the area of Jacob Stout Rd for a theft not in progress. When the officers arrived, the other party left prior to police arrival. The complainant stated that his ex took a picture of his and refused to return it. After officers spoke to the individual, she stated she would return the picture. No further police action.
12/6/22
At 11:34am, Officers responded to Meineke Muffler on Easton Rd for a theft of inspection stickers. The complainant stated that she noticed the stickers were missing earlier this morning. This incident is still under investigation.
At 5:43pm, Officers responded to the area of Nottingham way for a suspicious vehicle complaint. The vehicle left prior to their arrival. When officers met with the complainant, she stated that a silver minivan was parked in her driveway and left when she turned her lights on. There is no further police action.
At 9:50pm, Officers responded to the CVS on Swamp Rd for a fraud. The complainant stated that two males purchased $1500 in gift cards using counterfeit $100 bills. Photos of the suspects were uploaded to our Crimewatch and the incident is still under investigation.
12/7/22
At 2:17pm, Officers responded to the area of Downs Run for a theft of a license plate. The complainant stated that the last time he saw the license plate was a few days ago. Officers are requesting surveillance videos from neighbors. No further police action.
12/12/22
At 9:30am, a Plumstead Township detective responded to Fred Beans Ford on N. Easton Road, for a theft not in progress. The complainant stated he believes an employee stole some Inspection stickers. After review of the surveillance video, the detective was able to talk to the employee in question, and the employee admitted to taking the stickers and eventually returned them to the officer. Charges are pending.
At 3:08pm, Officers responded to the area of River Birch Dr. after a delivery driver’s vehicle took some wires down and damaged the electrical meter. Officers provided the complainant with the insurance information. No further police action was taken.
12/14/22
At 8:11am, officers received a phone call in reference to a fraud complaint. The complainant stated that his debit card had been used after he left it in the ATM machine at the WAWA in the 5400 block of Easton Road. The card was used at the WAWA and then taken to the Giant on Easton Road. The suspects used the card and approximately $500 was taken from the complainant’s account. This case is still under investigation.
12/15/22
At 2:38pm, Officers received a phone call from an individual who stated she pulled her vehicle over into a driveway on Curley Hill Road because she was lost. She said while sitting there, she was approached by the homeowner who was holding a long gun and confronted her as to why she was there. Officers contacted the homeowner, who stated that the individual was sitting in her driveway for a long period of time and was concerned for her safety as she lives in the house by herself. Officers informed the homeowner to contact police if this ever occurs again.
At 3:30pm, Officers responded to Doylestown Animal Hospital for a report of a loose dog running around the Cross Key Shopping Center. While officers were talking to the employee, the dog was captured by another. The dog had no chip or collar, so the office staff is keeping the dog for the night. Officers informed the staff that if they found the owners to please inform the department.
At 8:35pm, Officers received a phone call from a complainant in the area of Timberly Ln, about a trash can that was placed in his driveway that did not belong to him. Officers advised the complainant to go through the trash to see if he could identify anyone. No identifying information was found, officers suggested to leave the can for the trash company in the morning.
12/16/22
At 9:04am, Officers received a call from the complainant who stated that her lost debit card was used at the WAWA on Easton Rd in the amount of $32.37. Officers are reviewing video surveillance to determine who used the card without permission.
12/17/22
At 2:01pm, Officers received a phone call from the complainant who stated that his wallet was stolen from his vehicle in the area of Winterberry Dr. The complainant related the wallet was in the car the night before, and when he went out to his vehicle the following morning it was gone. This case is still under investigation and Officers are reviewing surveillance from the surrounding area.
At 5:16pm, Officers responded to the area of Deep Glen Way for a criminal mischief complaint. The complainant advised the officers at or about 4:45pm, she heard a car speed off and found her mailbox post in the street. The complainant stated that the post cost approximately $100.00. Officers are reviewing Ring cameras from neighbors. This case is still under investigation.
