On June 14, 2022, Jeffrey Moffett was sworn in to his position as Corporal for the Plumstead Township Police Department in front of a large crowd of his family, friends and coworkers.
Corporal Moffett is a graduate of Central Bucks West High School and the Temple University Police Academy. He holds an Associate’s Degree from Eastern Gateway Community College and is currently working towards earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Corporal Moffett began his career in Law Enforcement in 2012, working as a police officer with the New Britain Borough Police Department. He then joined the Plumstead Township Police Department in 2013. He is a Field Training Officer for the Department and is also a Crash Investigator for the Bucks County District Attorneys’ Office. Jeff has attended the Penn State Police Supervisory In-Service Training program, also known as (POSIT) and Police Executive Development Training program, known as (POLEX).
Corporal Moffett successfully passed a written examination focused on leadership principles, vehicle code and crimes code violations and departmental policy. He then successfully completed a lengthy oral interview in front of a panel of veteran police executives.
