On March 12,2025 at 4:05 am officers responded to Fisher's ACE Hardware in reference to an alarm at the rear door. Upon arrival, the responding officer observed the rear door closing and immediately secured the area. A subsequent search of the premises revealed a smashed glass door at the front of the building, with a red shovel and a mechanic's glove found nearby. The second mechanic's glove was located on a table inside the store. The officers cleared the building and found that the cash registers and safe in the office did not appear to be disturbed. In addition, 4 electric meters were removed from the rear of the building affecting multiple businesses in the shopping center. Homeowners in Lantern Ridge with outdoor cameras are urged to provide any footage captured on the night of the incident, as it may feature the suspect or their vehicle. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Plumstead Township Police Department.
