On Friday, April 24, 2020 at 1:55 PM, Plumstead Township Officers responded to the parking lot of the Wawa store, located at 5854 Easton Rd for the report of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle. When officers arrived, they found an 85-year-old Doylestown man suffering from injures as a result of being struck by the vehicle. Witnesses reported the striking vehicle fled the parking lot and exited towards northbound Easton Road. Officers recovered video surveillance which revealed a silver Hyundai Accent being operated by a white or Hispanic male exited the vehicle after striking the male. The unknown male attempted to assist the older gentleman, but due to his injuries, he could not stand on his feet. We have identified the owner of the vehicle and she is cooperating with investigators, but it is still unknown who the male operator is.
