The Bristol Borough Police responded to the report of a male harassing a female customer at the Wawa store on Farragut Avenue. The incident took place at approximately 1pm on Thursday, May 20th. Upon arriving on location, the female victim reported that she arrived at the store and was accosted by a male subject. The victim dropped her phone at which time the male picked it up and would not return it. After a struggle, the victim was able to retrieve her phone and attempted to enter her vehicle at which time the suspect would not allow her to enter her vehicle. The altercation continued until the victim was able to enter her vehicle at which time police were notified. Officers responded to the area and began to search for the suspect. Offices located a subject matching the description on the canal path off of Green Lane. Subsequent investigation confirmed that the subject was in fact the actor. The subject, Cristian Samuel Gil Aponte, age 21, of Bristol township was then taken into custody. Aponte was charged with Robbery, Theft, Harassment and Disorderly Conduct. Aponte was brought before Magisterial District Judge Frank Peranteau who set bail at $50,000.
