Crime Items of Interest:

• On 09/01/2022, we received a report from Weis Markets that they discovered an unknown male had entered the store, discharged a firearm in the men’s room, and left the store without telling anyone or reporting the damage that occurred.  We obtained video surveillance of the male subject and a Bedminster Officer on patrol identified the male a few days later driving on SR 113 and Elephant Rd.  We have subsequently recovered the firearm used in this incident from a resident who reported the incident as an accidental discharge.  Appropriate charges will be filed.  

• On 09/01/2022, at 3:20 pm, a non-resident was arrested for DUI after driving into a ditch on Deep Run Rd. near Derstine Rd.

• On 09/08/2022, at 2:57 pm, a female resident was arrested for DUI on Ridge Rd. near Sylvan Rd. following a crash.

• On 09/09/2022 at 10:51 pm, a male non-resident, was arrested for operating without a required functioning alcohol ignition interlock device following a traffic stop.

• On 09/23/2022, an arrest of a male non-resident was made following the investigation of a purse that was stolen from the parking lot at Weis in August when a senior citizen inadvertently left it in the parking lot after she placed it on the ground to load her groceries.  This was a felony due to the value of the contents of the purse.

• Traffic Items of Interest:

• We handled (6) reportable (towing and/or injury) traffic accidents. There were no critical injuries reported.

• Traffic Enforcement:  

o 94 traffic enforcement details were conducted.

o 27 traffic citations were issued.

o 60 traffic warnings were given.
