Summary of Incident:
November 9, 2020- Identity Theft
On November 9, 2020, a resident reported being a victim of identity theft after receiving a phone call stating their Amazon account detected fraudulent activity. This unknown person coerced the victim into send them about $3,000 worth of gift cards for payment to eliminate the fraudulent activity.
November 10, 2020- Criminal Mischief and DUI
On November 10, 2020, a resident was arrested for criminal mischief, institutional vandalism and DUI after turfing the Bedminster Elementary School lawn. During this incident, the defendant’s vehicle caught on fire.
November 12, 2020- DUI Crash
On November 12, 2020, a non-resident was arrested for DUI after a traffic crash. The driver attempted to flee the scene but was later apprehended. He was subsequently arrested for a felony charge for a 3rd offense of driving under the influence of drugs and incarcerated after failing to post bail.
November 15, 2020- Drug Possession
On November 15, 2020, a non-resident will be charged with possession of drugs resulting from a traffic stop for an expired registration.
November 16, 2020- Criminal Mischief
On November 16, 2020, a resident reported criminal mischief to their mailbox.
November 17, 2020- Fraud/Identity Theft
On November 17, 2020, a resident reported that an unknown person attempted to file for unemployment benefits using their identity.
November 17, 2020- Drug Possession
On November 17, 2020, a non-resident will be charged with possession of drugs resulting from a traffic stop for an equipment violation.
