December 16, 2020- Identity Theft
On December 16, 2020, a resident reported receiving a US Bank debit card from an out of state unemployment office that was part of a scam. This office has reported several cases of similar fraud.
December 16, 2020- Identity Theft
On December 16, 2020, a resident was notified by their bank of suspicious activity pertaining to their accounts. BT&T Bank stated a fraudulent $2,000 check was cashed at a bank in Bel Air, Maryland.
December 17, 2020- Fraud
On December 17, 2020, a resident received a scam phone call from a person claiming to be from the Social Security Office. They stated there were 11 actions against their social security number and owed $50,000. The caller requested they pay by purchasing Google gift cards and providing them with the card numbers.
December 23, 2020- Fraud
On December 23, 2020, a resident received several packages on their doorstep that they did not order. The victim later received a phone call from an unknown person claiming to be AT&T stating an incorrect delivery was made and the package would have to be picked up. The victim later called AT&T who denied association with these unknown persons and confirmed $1,444 was fraudulently charged to their account for Apple products.
December 26, 2020- Warrant
On December 26, 2020, a non-resident was arrested on multiple Bucks and Montgomery County warrants resulting from a traffic stop for an inactive registration.
December 30, 2020- DUI
On December 30, 2020, a resident was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
December 31, 2020- Identity Theft
On December 31, 2020, a resident reported being victim to identity theft and unauthorized transactions. Their Verizon Wireless account was fraudulently charged $1409 for the purchase of Apple products at a Best Buy. A Capital One credit card was also opened using their identifying information and charged $1,054 at Wal-Mart.
December 31, 2020- Assault
On December 31, 2020, a resident was arrested for domestic assault after they struck their partner with a snow shovel causing injury.
January 1, 2021- Possession of Drugs
On January 1, 2021, a non-resident was arrested for possession of drugs and paraphernalia resulting from a traffic stop for a suspended registration for insurance cancellation.
January 3, 2021- Theft
On January 3, 2021, a resident reported theft of jewelry and old iPhones by a known subject.
January 5, 2021- Driving While DUI Suspended
On January 5, 2021, a non-resident was arrested for a third offense of driving with a DUI suspended drivers license resulting from a traffic stop for the unauthorized transfer of registration plate.
January 6, 2021- Reckless Driver
On January 6, 2021, a non-resident was cited for reckless driving after nearly striking another vehicle head on at a high rate of speed on Ridge Rd. This incident was captured on a passing motorist’s dashboard camera and turned over to the police.
January 6, 2021- DUI
On January 6, 2021 a non-resident was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs resulting from a traffic stop for operating with a suspended driver’s license.
