We are happy to welcome Officer James Browne to the BTPD. Officer Browne comes to the BTPD with 16 years of experience and a reputation for professionalism and working hard to partner with the community and other law enforcement agencies to solve problems. The addition of Officer Browne will be an asset to the PD and the Township.
Crime Items of Interest:
• On 11/7/2022, graffiti was reported to have been painted on the roadway on Scott Road and also on Keller’s Church Rd.
• On 11/07/2022, at 1046 hours, a resident was arrested for DUI following a complaint from the wine and spirits store staff.
• On 11/10/2022, at 1224 hours, a traffic stop on 611 led to a warrant arrest of a male non-resident and also additional charges for illegal possession of a controlled substance.
• On 11/10/2022, an investigation was opened into the attempted purchase of a firearm by a prohibited person at a firearms dealer in 2021.
• On 11/14/2022, a thin blue line flag was reported stolen from the 3000 block of Bedminster Rd.
• On 11/16/2022, at 2333 hours, a traffic stop on 611 led to drug charges filed against a resident.
• On 11/19/2022, an underage drinking arrest was made following a pedestrian stop on Ridge Rd.
• On 11/23/2022, dumping of furniture occurred on Short Rd.
• On 11/26/2022, a traffic stop resulted in charges against a non-resident for using a fraudulent license plate.
• On 11/28/2022, at 1646 hours, a non-resident was arrested for driving under the influence of marijuana on 113 north of 313.
• Traffic Items of Interest:
• We handled (5) reportable (towing and/or injury) traffic accidents. There were no life threatening injuries reported.
• Traffic Enforcement:
o 100 traffic enforcement details were conducted.
o 33 traffic citations were issued.
o 66 traffic warnings were given.
o Miscellaneous:
Officer Zukow responded to a medical emergency involving an 8-month-old infant who stopped breathing at the Weis Market on 11/30/2022. He was able to open the child’s airway and she began breathing again.
Officer Chonko met with local Cub Scout Pack 196 to help them with requirements for their Duty to Community Badge.
