On March 17, 2023, at 7:51am Perkasie Borough Police responded to a one-vehicle accident where a Nissan Sentra ran over a fire hydrant, removing it fully from its base, while attempting to turn left onto N 5th Street from W Spruce Street in Perkasie Borough.  The driver of the Nissan also went through the stop sign without stopping.  In addition to the damaged fire hydrant there was also damage to the sidewalk and lawn of a Perkasie resident.  No injuries reported.  Vehicle was towed from the scene.
