Are you a new or expecting parent or caregiver? Have you recently bought a new car or car seat? Have you ever wondered if your car seat was installed properly? If you said yes to any of these questions, then we have just the right event for you! Our Civilian Community Relations Specialist was recently certified as a child passenger safety seat technician through Safe Kids Worldwide and is ready to help make sure that you have a correct installation, seat orientation, and harness set-up. This service is being offered free to the community and time slots are being offered on a first come, first serve basis. In honor of Child Safety Week, the car seat installations are being offered on Thursday September 25th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday September 26th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sign-up is required to attend the event in order to ensure an ample amount of time for participants to learn proper installation strategies. Participants for the event please be aware that you will need the car seat, vehicle, car seat manual (physical or online copy), and vehicle manual. It is optional to have the child(ren) with you to verify proper harness height and positioning.
