Crime Blotter April 6th 2023 to April 26th 2023

April 6th 2023 at approximately 8 am the Pennridge Regional Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of Branch Road and Arrowhead Drive, East Rockhill Township, on a silver Chevrolet Malibu being operated by John Handy of the 200 block of Strassburger Road, Perkasie. As a result of the officer’s observations during the vehicle stop criminal charges were filed against Mr. Handy for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  

April 7th 2023 at approximately 430 am officers with the Pennridge Regional Police responded to the 1700 block of Ridge Road, East Rockhill Township, for a report of a disturbance between the two occupants. During a lengthy investigation it was found that the parties were arguing over shared property and the incident was deemed a civil issue.

On April 9th 2023 Pennridge Regional Police responded to the 1100 Block of Mill Creek Drive, West Rockhill Township, for a report of a stolen motor vehicle. Nancy Geiger reported that he daughter, Jessica Geiger had stolen her 2018 Hyundai Elantra and did not return the vehicle. Jessica Geiger, 28 years old, of the 1100 block of  Mill Creek Road was arrested for unauthorized used of a motor vehicle.

April 11th 2023 at approximately 515 pm Pennridge Regional Police responded to the 1400 block of Branch Road for a report of numerous vehicles spray painted by an unknown actor. Upon arrival officers observed three vehicles who front bumpers and grilles spray painted with purple spray paint. It was determined during the investigation that a Steven Austin, of the 1400 block of Branch Road had spray painted the vehicles due to his frustration with vehicles parking along the roadside. Charges are pending against Mr. Austin.

April 11th 2023 at approximately 6pm Pennridge Regional Police responded to the 2100 block of Hill Road, East Rockhill Township, for report of disturbance between neighbors. Officers found that the neighbors were arguing over damage to a shared driveway. No criminal charges were filed and the incident was deemed to be civil in nature.

April 11th 2023 at approximately 8 pm Pennridge Regional Police responded to the 2400 block of Camp Rockhill Road, West Rockhill Township, for report of a male injured by a BB gun. Upon investigation it was found that Jeffrey Pemberton of the 2400 block of Camp Rockhill Road had shot his neighbor with a BB gun several times, resulting in injuries. Mr. Pemberton was charged with possession of an instrument of a crime, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, harassment and disorderly conduct.

April 12th 2023 at approximately 350 pm Pennridge Regional Police responded to the 2200 block of Old Bethlehem Pike, West Rockhill Township, for a report of criminal mischief to a building. Officers found an unknown substance splattered on the outside of a building causing approximately $5000 in damages. There are no suspect or further information in the incident.

On April 16th 2023 at approximately 330 am Pennridge Regional Police responded to a residence in the 600 block of Campus Drive, East Rockhill Township, for a report of trespassing. Officers arrived and found the son of the homeowners had illegally entered the home and removed an occupant’s purse. No criminal charges were filed based on the victim not wanting charges filed.

April 16th 2023 at approximately 645 am officers the Pennridge Regional Police responded to the intersection of Old Bethlehem Pike and Weikel Road, East Rockhill Township, for a report of a vehicle stuck in the mud. Officers identified the operator of the vehicle as Anthony Hess Jr., of Quakertown. Upon investigation Mr. Hess was found to be under the influence alcohol while operating a motor vehicle. Mr. Hess was arrested for numerous charges.

April 16th 2023 at approximately 1050 am a homeowner in the 2500 block of County Line Road, West Rockhill Township, reported that an unknown actor had thrown several tomatoes at their home. Upon investigation no damage was observed and there are no suspects in the case.

April 16th 2023 at approximately 330 pm Pennridge Regional Police responded to a phone call for harassment stemming from an incident at Markey Park, East Rockhill Township. The harassment was related to a domestic issue that did not rise to the need for criminal charges to be filed.

April 16th 2023 at approximately 445 pm Pennridge Regional Police responded to the 300 block of Ridge Valley Road, West Rockhill Township, for a report of a mailbox being damaged by a baseball bat. Upon arrival of the officer there was minor damage to the mailbox, with no information pertaining to a suspect or vehicle involved.

April 16th 2023 at approximately 630 pm Pennridge Regional Police responded to Alto Storage Center, 1700 Bethlehem Pike, West Rockhill Township, for report of several items being stolen from a camper on the property. Officers conducted an investigation and all items removed were returned to the owner. No charges were filed based on a misunderstanding and the owner being happy with receiving their property back

April 17th 2023 at approximately 1130 am Pennridge Regional Police responded to the Pennridge High School, East Rockhill, for a report of a student in possession of a vape smoking device. A juvenile allegation was filed in regards to this case.

April 17th 2023 at approximately 345 pm Pennridge Regional Police responded to a medical facility located in the 900 block of Lawn Ave., West Rockhill, for a report of a patient who was being disorderly. Officers were able to assist the elderly dementia patient and her caretakers with returning the patient to her assisted living facility.

April 18th 2023 at approximately 0900 am Pennridge Regional Police investigated a report of a student throwing an item from a Pennridge School District school bus at a passing vehicle at the intersection of Ridge Road and Old Bethlehem Road, East Rockhill. With the assistance of the Pennridge School District Police, officers were able to identify the student and the location of the offense. A juvenile allegation will be filed in this incident.  

April 18th 2023 at approximately 6pm Pennridge Regional Police investigated responded to Grand View Hospital for a report of a gunshot victim in the emergency room. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the incident did not occur in East or West Rockhill Township. Our officers provided all information collected to the proper investigating police department.  

April 19th 2023 at approximately 2pm Pennridge Regional Police investigated a report of criminal mischief in the 2000 block of Hill Road, East Rockhill. An unknown actor appeared to have fired a small projectile at a basketball hoop causing damage. No information on a suspect or type of projectile could be determined.

April 19th 2023 at approximately 730 pm Pennridge Regional Police responded to a home in the 500 block of E. Callowhill St. for a report of a disturbance. As a result of the investigation conducted on scene a juvenile allegation was filed.

April 20th 2023 at approximately 1145 am Pennridge Regional Police investigated a phone complaint of a Fraud occurring in the 1000 block of Mountain View Drive, East Rockhill. The victim made an internet purchase and never received the purchased. An investigation has been initiated.

April 21st 2023 at approximately 330 pm officers responded to Success Rehabilitation, 5600 Clymer Road, East Rockhill. Upon police investigation there was a disturbance with a patient. No criminal charges were filed.

April 21st 2023 at approximately 1050 pm officers responded to the 2100 block of Old Bethlehem Pike, West Rockhill for a report of illegal burning. Following an investigation there was no violation of the township ordinance.

April 22nd 2023 at approximately 12 pm officers responded to the 1100 block of Buck Run Rd, East Rockhill for a disturbance between parents and a child. During the course of the investigation, it was determined to be a civil issue and no police action was taken.

April 23rd 2023 at approximately 130 pm officers responded to the 800 block of Roseann Lane for a report of two juveniles entering an abandon trailer. Upon further investigation it was determined that the children resided in a home nearby. Bucks County Children and Youth responded to address concerns of the officers on scene, resulting in seven children being taken into protective custody.

April 24th 2023 at approximately 645 pm officers responded to the 2100 block of N. Rockhill Road, East Rockhill, for a report of a violation of the burning ordinance. After a brief investigation, no violation was found.

April 25th  2023 at approximately 800 am Pennridge Regional Police responded to the Pennridge High School, East Rockhill, for a report of a student in possession of a vape smoking device. A juvenile allegation was filed in regards to this case.

April 25th 2023 at approximately 1030 pm Pennridge Regional Police responded to the 100 block of Marshall Lane, West Rockhill, for report of domestic disturbance. As result of the police investigation Alexander Mendoza was charged with several criminal charges and also for violating a protection from abuse order.

April 26th 2023 at approximately 130 pm Pennridge Regional Police responded to the Pennridge High School, East Rockhill, for a report of a student in possession of a vape smoking device. A juvenile allegation was filed in regards to this case.

April 26th 2023 at approximately 1015 am Pennridge Regional Police responded to the are of the railroad overpass on Three Mile Run Road for a report of trespassing. A passing motorist reported that unknown actors were on the railroad tracks. Upon investigation it was found that employees were moving freight cars along the tracks.

April 26th 2023 at approximately 400 pm Pennridge Regional Police responded to the Pennridge High School, East Rockhill, for a report of a student in possession of a vape smoking device. Two juvenile allegations were filed and an adult were charged.
