Police Blotter 7/27 - 7/30

Disabled Vehicle
Patrol responded to the area of Buck Rd. for a report of a disabled vehicle. The vehicle had two flat tires. Vehicle operator requested Police contact our Duty tow and he would follow them to their lot.
 
Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to the area of Buck Rd. for a report of a two vehicle traffic accident. Unit #1 struck the driver side front bumper of Unit #2 while attempting to go around Unit #2. There were no reported injuries and minor damage.
 
Traffic Light Problem
Complainant reports the traffic light on East Bristol Rd. at Churchville Lane was malfunctioning. Patrol checked the traffic light and it was functioning properly.
 
Fires
Patrol responded to the area of East Holland Rd. for a report of a fire. An oil transfer pump caught fire. Northampton Township Fire Department arrived on scene and extinguished the fire.
 
Simple Assault
Police responded for a report of a simple assault. Patrol took one subject into custody.
 
Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to the area of Newtown Richboro Rd. for a report of a one vehicle accident. Minor vehicle damage. The vehicle was towed.
 
Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to Hatboro Rd. for a report of a two vehicle accident. Unit #1 struck Unit #2 while backing up. There were no reported injuries and no vehicle damage.
 
Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to the area of Mulberry Dr. for a report of a two vehicle traffic accident. Unit #1 struck Unit #2 while opening her car door. There were no reported injuries and minor damage to the vehicles.
 
Fire
Patrol was dispatched to the area of Andrea Dr. for a report of a grill fire. Upon arrival, the property owner was able to extinguish the fire.

Investigation of Open Door
At 12:30 a.m., Patrol observed two open doors at a business. Patrol checked the business and all appeared to be fine. The doors were secured.
 
Drugs
Patrol conducted a traffic stop in the area of Bustleton Pike. The vehicle operator was sent a summons for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
 
Counterfeit Registration
Patrol conducted a traffic stop on Buck Rd. After further investigation, the vehicle operator was taken into custody for counterfeit registration.
 
Fraud
Complainant reports an unknown subject contacted him stating they were from Direct TV. The unknown subject offered the complainant a promotion they were running in exchange for payment from gift cards. The unknown subject activated the premium channels on the complainant’s tv making it look convincing. After the complainant sent the subject the gift cards, the subject stated the gift cards didn’t work and that the complainant would need to buy more. At this time, the complainant realized the scam.
 
Lost Property
Complainant came into our HQ to file a report for a lost iPhone. Complainant believes the last location of her iPhone was in her car.
 
Well Being Check
Patrol responded for a report of a well being check of a subject that was in crisis. Patrol spoke with the subject and provided resources for additional people to speak with if needed.
 
Juvenile Complaint
Complainant reports that she caught, 3 juveniles jump her fence and go into her pool. The juveniles were asked to leave and they complied.
 
Criminal Mischief
Complainant reports that sometime overnight (7/27 – 7/28), an unknown subject egged her son’s vehicle.

Drugs
Patrol conducted a traffic stop in the area of Buck Rd. The vehicle operator was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.
 
Theft from Vehicles
There were several thefts from UNLOCKED vehicles in the area of Hillcrest Farms (East/West Rambler Dr./Christopher Dr./Ronald Dr.)
 
Scam
Complainant reports that he received a phone call from an unknown subject stating that he was being fined for missing jury duty. Complainant recognized right away that this was a scam and alerted Police.
 
Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to the area of 2nd St. Pike for a report of a two vehicle traffic accident. Unit #1 accidentally rear ended Unit #2. There were no reported injuries and minor damage.
 
Disabled Vehicle
Patrol responded to the area of Twining Ford Rd. for a report of a trailer partially blocking the roadway. Patrol spoke with the trailer owner who stated the trailer was disabled. Patrol assisted the owner with removing it from the roadway.
 
Theft of Movable Property
Police were called to a business for a report of a subject who stole money from a tip jar. The subject was identified and the incident handled.

Suspicious Incident
Patrol responded to a residence for a report of a suspicious incident. Property owner stated that his alarm was sounding and was unsure why. Patrol checked the residence and all appeared fine.
 
Parking Complaint
Patrol responded for a report of a parking complaint in the roadway. Complainant reports a Semi-Truck being parked in the roadway overnight. Patrol spoke with the Semi-Truck owner who removed the vehicle from the roadway.
 
Unwanted Subject
Patrol responded to a construction site for a report of an unwanted subject. Upon arrival, Patrol spoke with the complainant who stated a former employee who was fired showed up to work. The complainant requested patrol advise him to leave the site. The unwanted subject left without incident.
 
Road Hazard
Patrol responded to the area of Holland Rd. for a report of a gas spill in the roadway. Northampton Fire Department arrived on scene and applied oil dry on the spill.
 
Warrant Arrest
Patrol responded to a residence and placed a suspect into custody for an active warrant.
 
Vehicle Lockout
Patrol responded to the area of Newtown Richboro Rd. for a report of a vehicle lockout. Patrol was unable to open the vehicle.
 
Abandoned Vehicle
Patrol responded to Village Shires for a report of an abandoned vehicle. Patrol spoke with the vehicle owner who stated the vehicle was not abandoned.
 
Suspicious Vehicle
Patrol was dispatched to a parking lot off Hatboro Rd. for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Complainant reports a red mini van driving around in circles in the parking lot. Upon our arrival, the vehicle was gone.

During this tour, Police responded to 11 Alarms, 15 Abandoned 911 Calls, 15 Medicals, 4 Domestics, and 22 Bookings.
