Police Blotter 11/09 to 11/15

Fraud
Complainant reports receiving a text from i-harmony confirming that a subscription was processed and provided a phone number to call if the subscription was in error. The complainant contacted the phone number and was advised to open a Paypal account so they could be refunded. After opening an account, the next day, the complainant noticed money withdrawn from the account.
 
Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to Bridgetown Pike for a report of a two vehicle accident. Unit #1 rear ended Unit #2. Unit #1 required a tow. There were no reported injuries.

Warrant
Patrol contacted 44PD in reference to a subject who was wanted from our department. 44Pd served the warrant and took the subject into custody without incident. The subject was transported back to our HQ.
 
Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to New Rd. for a report of a two vehicle accident. Unit #2 was stopped in the roadway making a delivery. Unit #1 attempted to pull around Unit #2 and struck the rear bumper. There were no reported injuries and neither vehicle required a tow.

Fraud
Complainant received a phone call from a subject claiming to be a representative for Amazon. The subject informed the complainant that a fraudulent purchase was made on her Amazon account and in order to fix the fraud, the subject would need access to the complainant’s computer. The complainant gave the subject access. At this time, the subject told the complainant she would need to purchase Target gift cards and Best Buy gift cards in order to resolve the fraud. Complainant bought the gift cards and provided the serial numbers. Complainant then realized the scam and contacted Target and Best Buy to reverse the purchase. Both company fraud departments are following up.
 
Criminal Mischief
Patrol responded to a residence off Almshouse Rd. for a report of criminal mischief. Complainant reports that he heard glass breaking around 4:30 a.m. After further investigation, it appears an unknown subject shot a BB through the complainant’s window.

Hit and Run
Patrol responded to Bustleton Pike at Willow Rd. for a report of a hit and run accident. Unit #1 was traveling southbound on Bustleton Pike when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree. The vehicle operator backed his vehicle up and left the area. Witness stated that he briefly spoke with the vehicle operator who claimed to be fine.

Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to Crossroads Plaza for a report of a two vehicle traffic accident. Unit #1 was turning into a parking sport when she struck Unit #2 who was parked at the time. There were no reported injuries and neither vehicle required a tow.
 
Disabled Vehicle
Patrol responded to Twining Rd. at 2nd St. Pike for a report of a disabled vehicle. Patrol located the vehicle and contacted duty tow to assist the vehicle operator. Patrol stood by while the vehicle was safely removed from the roadway.

Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to East Holland Rd. for a report of a single vehicle accident. Unit #1 was traveling westbound on East Holland Rd. when a deer ran into his vehicle. There were no reported injuries and he did not require a tow.
 
Suspicious Person
Patrol responded to the area of Glen Meadow Rd. for a report of a suspicious person. Complainant reports a white male in his 30’s crawling on the complainant’s patio. When the complainant approached the subject, he ran off. Patrol checked the area with negative contact. Patrol conducted extra patrol checks throughout the night.
 
Criminal Mischief
Patrol responded to Swallow Rd. for a report of a criminal mischief. Unit #2 was traveling on 2nd St. Pike near Richboro Plaza when an occupant of Unit #1 threw a coffee out the window striking Unit #2. There was minor damage to the vehicle. Patrol checked the area for the suspect vehicle with negative contact.
 
Suspicious incident
Patrol responded to a residence off West Bristol Rd. for a report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, Patrol spoke with the complainant who reported hearing footsteps inside the residence. Patrol cleared the inside of the residence and found no one inside. Patrol checked the exterior and all appeared fine.
 
Suspicious Vehicle
Patrol observed a suspicious vehicle parked on the shoulder of Almshouse Rd. Patrol spoke with the vehicle occupant who stated she was very tired and did not feel it was safe to continue to drive. Complainant reported that she has been working long hours at work. The vehicle occupant contacted her boyfriend who came and picked her up.
 
Criminal Mischief
Patrol responded to a business off Steamwhistle for a report of criminal mischief.  Complainant reports that an unknown subject graffitied the building.
 
Drugs
Patrol conducted a traffic stop in the area of Liberty Dr. and Middle Holland Rd. Upon further investigation, the vehicle operator was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance.  
 
Hit and Run accident
Patrol responded to Seedling Dr. for a report of a hit and run accident. Complainant reports that her mailbox was struck around 9:55 a.m. The accident was captured on a neighbor’s ring camera. It appears a Ryder truck was backing up and accidentally struck the mailbox and left the area.  
 
Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to the parking lot off Rock Way for a report of a single vehicle accident. The operator of Unit #1 has her learning permit and was learning how to drive. She accidentally accelerated and went over a curb and struck a tree. There was no reported injuries and minor damage.

During this tour, Patrol responded to 12 Alarms, 20 Abandoned 911 Calls, 32 Medical Calls, 2 Domestic Disputes and 22 Bookings.
