Hit & Run
Patrol responded to Stafford Place for a report of an unattended hit and run. Complainant reports that their vehicle was parked at the end of the parking island when sometime between 6:45 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. it was struck, damaging the rear bumper and wheel.
Fire
Patrol responded to Bromley Commons for a report of a brush fire, with several juveniles in the area. Northampton Fire Department had the fire under control when Patrol arrived. Patrol spoke with the two juveniles who thought it “would be fun” to light a book on fire, however the juveniles stated that the fire got too big and it frightened them. Patrol made contact with the parents to advise of situation and the seriousness of it.
Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to W. Bristol Road for a report of a one-vehicle accident with a deer. Complainant states they were traveling on W. Bristol Road when a deer ran into the road and they were unable to avoid hitting it. The vehicle sustained moderate damage, but did not need to be towed.
Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to Newtown-Richboro Road for a report of two vehicle accident. Unit #2 was stopped in traffic when it was struck in the rear by Unit #1. Both vehicles sustained damage, Unit #1 was towed from the scene. EMS responded and evaluated the driver of Unit #1, who refused medical transport.
Identity Theft
Complainant came into headquarters to report fraudulent activity. Complainant states that an active account of theirs had another account linked to their account and the address changed to an unknown address. This concerned complainant ran a check through Trans Union and discovered that two credit cards had been opened in the Complainant’s name and with their information. Complainant was able to close the accounts. Complainant was reaching out to the other two credit reporting services to review their files as well.

Fuel Spill
Patrol responded to Holyoke Road for a report of gas spilled in the road way. Upon arrival Patrol found a large fuel spill that continued throughout the neighborhood. Patrol contacted Department of Public Works to help with the cleanup. Later, it was found that an email had been sent by a township resident indicating they had witnessed a school bus leaking a lot of fuel. Patrol contacted Durham School Services who responded and also helped with the cleanup.
Theft
Patrol responded to Steamwhistle Drive for a report of a theft of a catalytic converter. Complainant states that when they started the vehicle they could tell the catalytic converter had been taken. A check of the vehicle showed that catalytic converter was cut off and taken. A review of surveillance cameras was made.
Mail Fraud
Complainant came into headquarters to report a mail theft. Complainant states on October 7, 2022, they put a check out in their mailbox to be picked up by the mailman. Complainant was contacted today by their bank as someone had presented the check for payment for an amount larger then Complainant had written and not to the payee Complainant had written. Additionally, other checks written and mailed that day were also changed and cashed by unknown payees. Case was forwarded to detectives.
Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to Almshouse Road for a one vehicle accident. Complainant states that they were traveling on Almshouse Road when a deer ran out in front of them, they swerved to miss the deer and struck a tree. The vehicle sustained severe right rear wheel and fender damage and required a tow. The vehicle operator report they sustained no injuries.

Animal Complaint
Patrol reported to a business on 2nd Street Pike for a report of goats stuck in a fence behind the business. The Complainant states that they have observed 3 goats behind their business since 10/24/22 and was concerned they were lost or stolen. Patrol spoke with the adjacent homeowner who indicated they had rented the goats to help clear the shrubbery and poison ivy on their property.
Animal Complaint
Patrol responded to a farm on Almshouse Road for a report of a cow being struck. Complainant states that a cow had its head struck between to fence posts. The property owner came and was able to free the cow.
Fraud
Complainant came into headquarters to report a check fraud. Complainant states that they put a check in the post box outside the Richboro Post office earlier in the month. The check cleared their account with an unknown payee and an amount much larger than originally written by Complainant. Complainant’s bank has opened an investigation into the matter and has frozen their accounts.
Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to 2nd Street Pike for a report of a two-vehicle accident. Unit #2 was stopped on 2nd Street Pike waiting to make a left when it was struck in the rear by Unit #1. Both vehicles sustained damage, Unit #1 required a tow from the scene. No injuries were reported.

Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to Newtown-Richboro Road for a report of two-vehicle accident. Unit #1 was stopped behind Unit #2 when their foot slipped off the brake and struck Unit #2. All parties requested to be evaluated by EMS. Minor to moderate damage to both vehicles, neither required a tow.
Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to Newtown-Richboro Road for a report of a two-vehicle accident. Unit #1 was travelling behind Unit #2 and did not see Unit #2 stop, and struck the rear of Unit #2. Minor damage was reported to both vehicles, no injuries were reported.
Fraud
Complainant came into headquarters to report a check fraud. Complainant states that they dropped the check in the mailbox at the Richboro Post Office on October 23, 2022, on October 27, 2022, the check posted to their account for an amount much larger than originally written and not to the payee that the Complainant had written on the check. Complainant reported the fraud to their bank and was able to close their account. Complainant later returned to headquarters to report that they had been contacted by phone by someone alleging to be from Equifax stating Complainant had been hacked and had complainant download an app to their phone which allowed the caller to access the Complainant’s accounts. The Caller then told Complaint that if they purchased two Target gift cards the caller would be able to help them with better service access. At this point Complainant, became concerned and came back to police headquarters. Case forwarded to detectives.
Theft
Complainant came into headquarters to report a theft. Complainant states that while shopping at a store in the township they left their pocketbook at the store and didn’t realize it until today. Complainant went back to the store but they did not have it. Complainant was then notified by their bank that someone had attempted to use their credit cards. Complainant had cancelled all of their cards. Patrol is working with the store to get video surveillance.

Patrol responded to Almshouse Road and Golden Gate Drive for a report of a one vehicle accident. Complainant states they were driving on Almshouse Road when a deer ran out in front of them and they were unable to avoid hitting it. The vehicle sustained minor damage and did not require a tow.
Check Fraud
Patrol responded to Complainant for a report of check fraud. Complainant states they put a check into the mailbox at the Richboro Post Office on October 21, 2022. Complainant was advised today that the check had been stolen and altered to an unknown payee. Complainant’s bank was able to stop the check from being paid and opened a fraud investigation. Case was forwarded to detectives.
Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to Elm Avenue and Holland Road for a report of a two-vehicle accident. Unit #1 was attempting to make a left onto Holland Road from Elm Avenue when it struck Unit #2 which was traveling on Holland Road. Both vehicles sustained minor damage, no injuries were reported.

Juveniles
While on patrol at 2:30 a.m., Patrol came across two juveniles who told Patrol they had snuck out of their house to hangout. Parents/Family were contacted and the juveniles returned home safely.
Community Relations
Northampton Police Department hosted a National Drug Take Back day at headquarters, they collected over 230 pounds of unwanted medication.
Property Damage
Patrol responded to Holland Road for a report of property damage to a mailbox. Complainant states that their mailbox was damaged and they discovered a handwritten note providing the description and tag number of the striking vehicle. The note was signed and a phone number provided. Patrol contacted the note writer who provide the details of how the incident occurred. Patrol then contacted the owner of the striking vehicle who admitted to hitting something, but did not know what, Patrol reminded them of their obligation as a driver when involved in an accident.
Suspicious Person
Patrol responded to Bridgetown Pike for a report of a suspicious person. Complainant indicates an unknown male came to their door and stated “Trick or Treat let me in”. Patrol located the male walking on Bridgetown Pike. The male was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant out of the Montgomery County Sheriffs Office. The male was taken into custody, processed and transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
Check Fraud
Complainant came into headquarters to report check fraud. Complainant states they placed several checks in the mailbox outside the Richboro Post Office on October 16, 2022. In checking their account, they found that two of the checks had been altered and an unknown payee added and cashed. A third check never reached its destination. Complainant advised their bank of the fraud and canceled the missing check. Their bank indicated they would open a fraud investigation.

Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to East Holland Road for a report of a one vehicle accident. Complainant states they were traveling on East Holland Road when a deer suddenly emerged and Complainant was unable to avoid hitting the deer. The vehicle sustained minor damage.
Fire
Patrol responded to Seedling Drive for a report of a fire in a sewer drain. Complainant states they threw a cigarette into the sewer grate and a fire started, with smoke coming from several sewer grates along the roadway. Northampton Township Fire Department responded and put out the fire.
