Arson
Patrol responded to the area of Grenville Circle for a report of a vehicle fire. After further investigation it appeared the vehicle was set on fire deliberately.
Dirt Bikes/ATVs
Patrol responded to the area of Cloverly Dr. for a report of a dirt bike/Atv complaint. Patrol checked the area with negative contact.
Well Being Check
Patrol responded to the area of Buck Rd. for a report of a white male in his twenties walking along the roadway who appears to be in distress. Patrol spoke with the subject and he was fine.
Fraud
Complainant was contacted via phone about grant writing for Keller Williams. The complainant thought the email was legit and continued contact with the unknown subject. The unknown subject requested the complainant send money through gift cards to get the process started. After purchasing $4,000 in gift cards and sending them to the subject, the complainant felt this might be a scam. The subject attempted to reassure the complainant by sending her two checks and informing her to deposit the checks and purchase the remaining gift cards with that money. Complainant purchased $11,000 worth of gift cards and sent them to the unknown subject. A few days later, both checks bounced.
Fraud
Complainant was contacted by an unknown subject claiming to be an employee for Mcafee Virus Protection. The subject informed the complainant that his computer was infected and for a $79.99 fee he would be able to repair it. After receiving payment, the subject informed the complainant that he would refund the full service charge of $79.99. The subject attempted to defraud the complainant of thousands of dollars by sending a false refund of 50k and asking the complainant to refund the difference. The complainant caught on to the scam and notified the bank to freeze his funds.
Simple Assault
Patrol was dispatched to the area of Tapestry for a report of a domestic. After further investigation, a suspect was taken into custody for simple assault.
September 5, 2020
Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to Buck Rd. at East Village Rd. for a report of a vehicle vs an animal. While traveling northbound on Buck Rd. a deer ran into the roadway and struck the complainant’s vehicle. There were no injuries and minor damage.
Hit and Run
Patrol responded to Beacon Hill Dr. for a report of a hit and run accident. Vehicle owner stated that sometime overnight, her vehicle was struck by another vehicle. Minor damage to the front passenger headlight.
Vehicle Lockout
Patrol responded to Walnut Dr. for a report of a vehicle lockout. Patrol responded and opened the vehicle without incident.
Fires
Patrol responded to the area of Brendan Ct. for a report of a fire. Upon arrival, it was learned that the pool heater caught fire and was extinguished.
September 6, 2020
Suspicious Person
Complainant reports an unknown subject approached their breeze way and appeared to be lost or intoxicated. The complainant provided RING camera footage of the incident. After further investigation, the subject was identified.
Warrant Arrest
Patrol conducted a traffic stop in the area of Churchville Lane for expired registration. After further investigation, the vehicle operator was taken into custody for a warrant out of the Bucks County Sheriff’s Department.
Traffic Accident
Patrol was dispatched to Chinquapin Rd. for a report of a two vehicle accident. Unit #1 and Unit #2 recollection of the incident differed. Unit #1 stated Unit #2 swerved into their lane of travel. Unit #2 stated Unit #1 swerved into their lane of travel. There were no reported injuries and minor damage to each vehicle.
