Mail Theft
Complainant came into headquarters to report theft of mail from a USPS mailbox. Complainant states that on 7/9/22 they placed several checks in the external USPS mailbox at the Richboro Post Office. One of the checks was cashed, but not by the intended payee. Complainant checked and the remaining checks had not been received by their intended destinations. Complainant reported the fraudulent cashing of the first check and stopped payment on the others with their bank. Patrol will follow up with U.S. Postal Inspectors office.
Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to E. Bristol Road and Bustleton Pike for a report of two vehicle accident. Unit #1 was stopped on Bustleton Pike preparing to turn left. Unit #1 thought it was clear and attempted to make a left turn when they were struck by Unit #2 who was traveling on E. Bristol Road. Unit #1 was towed from the scene; no injuries were reported.
Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to E. Bristol Road for a traffic accident with injuries. Unit #1 while backing into their driveway, was struck by Unit #2, who did not see Unit #1 on the roadway. Unit #2 was towed from the scene. Minor injuries were reported.
Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to Almshouse and Spencer Roads for a report of a two-vehicle accident. Unit #1 was stopped on Spencer Road, attempting to turn onto Almshouse Road when they struck Unit #2. Unit #2 was towed from the scene; no injuries were reported.

Fraud
Complainant came into headquarters to report fraudulent activity on their debit card. Multiple fraudulent charges exceeding $250 appeared on their debit card. Complainant advised they had already contacted the banking institution.
Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to Ponderosa Drive for a report of a two-vehicle accident. Unit #1 while traveling on Ponderosa swerved to avoid something that had run out in front of the vehicle, striking Unit #2 which was parked. Moderate damage was sustained by both vehicles, with Unit #1 requiring a tow. No injuries were reported.
Pedestrian Struck
Patrol responded to Elm Avenue for a report of a juvenile struck by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was on Elm Avenue when the juvenile came out onto the roadway. The driver tried to avoid the juvenile, but was unable to avoid striking them. The juvenile was taken to St. Mary Medical Center for evaluation. Investigation continues.

Theft
Patrol responded to Bustleton Pike for a report of a theft. Complainant states that they believe a caregiver stole a bag filled with coins from a family member. Patrol spoke with the caregiver who denied any involvement, and were going to notify their employer of the allegations. Investigation continues.
Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to Newtown Richboro Road for a report of a one vehicle accident. Unit #1 was traveling on Newtown Richboro Road, when traffic suddenly slowed and they were unable stop. They swerved to miss the car in front of them and struck a PECO pole. The driver and all of the vehicle’s occupants were transported to St. Mary Medical Center and the vehicle was towed from the scene.

Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to Elm Avenue for a report of one vehicle accident involving a tree. The driver of Unit #1 states, while traveling on Elm Avenue they swerved to miss a puddle and lost control of the vehicle, striking a mail box and hitting a pole. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
Juveniles
Patrol responded to Cameo Drive for a report of juveniles running through the neighborhood banging on doors. Patrol checked the area with negative results.

Drug/Warrant Arrest
While on patrol, officers found a vehicle attempting to evade police. The driver presented officers with false ID and was found to have drugs on their person. In addition, they were found to have an outstanding Arrest Warrant through the Bucks County Sheriff’s office. They were arrested, processed, arraigned and transported to Bucks County Prison by the Sheriff’s officers.
Noise Complaint
Patrol responded to Sackettsford Road at 12:11 a.m. for a report of construction noise. Patrol found a property owner doing construction. The property owner was advised of the township ordinance regarding noise and agreed to shut down the project until morning.

Animal Complaint
Patrol responded to Bennett Place for a report of two raccoons caught in a dumpster. Patrol was able to free the raccoons from the dumpster.
DUI Arrest
While patrolling, officers observed a vehicle failing to maintain its lane of travel and initiated a traffic stop. After discussion with the driver and field sobriety tests, the driver taken into custody and processed for suspicion of driving under the influence.
Fireworks
Patrol responded to Holly Hill Road for a report of a fire resulting from errant fireworks. Complainant reports that their neighbor had set off fireworks which landed in complainant’s yard and caused their evergreen tree to catch fire. Northampton Township Fire Department arrived and extinguished the fire. A conversation with the neighbor confirmed the fireworks. Citation to be issued.

Hit and Run Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to a parking lot on 2nd Street Pike for a report of a hit and run traffic accident. Complainant witnessed Unit #1 back out of a parking spot, strike Unit #2 in the rear and leave the scene. The witness was able to take a picture of Unit #1 and police were able to identify the vehicle and the driver. Upon contacting the driver, they indicated they did not realize they hit another vehicle. Unit #2 suffered minor damages.
Hit and Run Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to Thoroughbred Drive for a report of a hit and run accident overnight. Complainant stated that their vehicle was legally parked on the street overnight when it was struck. Complainant’s vehicle sustained moderate damage.
