Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to Hatboro Road for a two-vehicle accident. Unit #1 while traveling on Hatboro Road failed to stop with traffic and struck Unit #2 in the rear. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage but did not require a tow and no injuries were reported.
Hit & Run
Complainant came into headquarters to report a hit and run traffic accident. Complainant states that while traveling on Bustleton Pike when their vehicle was struck. Unfortunately, the alleged hit and run took place in another jurisdiction and the Complainant was given the appropriate contact information for the correct police department.
Found Property
Patrol responded to Rocksville and Buck Road for a report of found property. Complainant states while cleaning up debris from an accident scene, the tow operator found a wallet on the side of the road. Patrol was able to locate a family member who indicated the wallet belonged to a member of their family who was visiting from overseas. Wallet to be picked up.

Fraud
Complainant came into headquarters to report identity theft. Complainant states that they filed for unemployment from September to November 2021. Complainant just found out that someone has been collecting benefits under their name and social security from February 2022 through June 2022. Complainant has contacted the Unemployment Fraud line to report this fraud. Case referred to detectives.
Road Hazard
Patrol responded to Mallard Road for vehicle leaking hydraulic fluid. Complainant states a truck was leaking hydraulic fluid. The department of public works had already been out and was going to have oil dry brought out.
Suspicious Person
Patrol responded to a business on 2nd Street Pike for a report of a suspicious person. Complainant states while closing up a male tried to enter the closed business, but left. Patrol checked the area but did not find the male. Patrol remained on scene until Complainant left for the evening.

Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to East Village and Stoneyford Roads for a report of a two-vehicle accident. Unit #1 was stopped at the stop sign on East Village Road when they attempted to make left onto Stoneyford Road and struck Unit #2 which was traveling on Stoneyford Road. Both vehicles sustained minor damage and no injuries were reported.
Theft
Patrol responded to Glen Meadow Road for a report of a package theft. Complainant states that their sister had baby formula delivered to their home on Glen Meadow Road and it had been stolen from out front of the residence.
Hit and Run/Receiving Stolen Property
Patrol responded to 2nd Street Pike for a report of a hit and run with property damage. Complainant states that they saw a truck on its side on the front lawn on 2nd Street Pike, they helped the operator out of the vehicle. There was property damage done to the lawn and lawn ornaments. The operator then left the scene on foot. Patrol located the operator walking on a side street and took them into custody, at which time it was found the operator was operating a stolen vehicle out of New Jersey. The operator was processed, arraigned and transported to Bucks County Prison.

Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to Bristol and Hatboro Roads for a report of a two-vehicle accident. Unit #1 was traveling behind Unit #2, traffic came to a stop and Unit #1 was unable to stop and struck the back of Unit #2. Both vehicles sustained minor damage, but did not require a tow. No injuries were reported.
Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to West Bristol and Jacksonville Roads for a report a two-vehicle accident. Unit #1 was stopped for a red traffic light, behind Unit #2 on West Bristol Road when the light changed to green, Unit #1 started to move and struck Unit #2. Both vehicles sustained minor damage, but did not require a tow. No injuries were reported.

Scam Reported
Complainant contacted headquarters to report receiving a scam phone call. Complainant reports receiving a telephone call stating their grand daughter was in a bad car accident and was arrested. The caller requested that complainant not tell anyone and to go to the bank and get $9,000 cash. Complainant recognized this as a scam from a prior informational presentation from the police department and ended the call.
Theft
Patrol responded to a business on 2nd Street Pike for a report of shoplifting. Complainant states that a male came into the store with a mask, proceeded to put items in two bags and left the store without paying. A review of area surveillance cameras was able to show the individual getting into a vehicle in another business parking lot.
Check Fraud
Complainant walked into headquarters to report check fraud. Complainant states they placed their check water bill payment in the box in front of the water authority on January 31, 2021. Today, while at the bank they were surprised by the amount in their checking account and had the bank check withdraws, and the check deposited on January 31,2023 had been changed in both the amount and the payee. Case was referred to detectives.
Theft
The Northampton Township Water Authority provided video footage of an unknown subject fishing mail out of their exterior drop boxes. The subject was able to fish out several pieces of mail. A video of the incident was posted on our Facebook site. If you or someone you know dropped a check to pay your water bill in either of those mailboxes, please monitor your account closely.

Found Property
Patrol responded to a business on 2nd Street Pike for a report of found property. Complainant states that a customer had left their wallet at the place of business. Officers were able to identify and locate the owner through the wallet’s contents.
Scam Reported
Complainant contacted police to report a telephone scam. Complainant states that they received a phone call from a male who stated “Grand mom I need help. I’ve been in an accident and I need $10,000 bond”. The Complainant told the call to call their father and hung up. Complainant then checked to be sure their grandson was safe and they were.

Fire
Patrol responded to Highspire Drive for a report of a shed fire. Upon arrival patrol found it to be a brush fired behind the shed. Northampton Township Fire Department arrived and extinguished the fire. It appeared to start from fireplace ash placed in the area, not by the homeowner.
Traffic Accident
Patrol responded to Doe Run Drive for a report of a one vehicle accident. Complainant states that they were driving on Middle Holland Road when a deer ran out in front of their vehicle, they were unable to avoid hitting it. The vehicle sustained front end damage and the operator felt better having it towed.
