Patrol was dispatched to Village Shires for a report of an unknown subject removing the cover off a motorcycle which the complainant knew did not belong to the subject. The subject was described as wearing a black hoodie and gray sweatpants. After confronting the subject, the subject took off running toward Old Jordan Rd. The complainant observed the subject enter a black pick up truck and leave the area.

A short time later, Patrol observed the described pick up truck on Middle Holland Rd. and initiated a traffic stop. Patrol spoke with the vehicle operator, Richard Machen and vehicle passenger, Austin Carter.

During the stop, Patrol observed a black sports bike style motorcycle in the rear of the pickup truck. After further investigation, it was learned this motorcycle was reported stolen in November 2020. Patrol also observed in plain view on the dash several controlled substances.

The vehicle operator, Richard Machen was taken into custody.
