Officers were flagged down by a concerned citizen at the New Hope Solebury High School parking lot for a well being check of a highly intoxicated female seated on the bench.  While officers were talking with the complainant, the subject opened the back door of the police vehicle, got in, and promptly fell asleep.  Officers were familiar with this 55-year-old female subject from Philadelphia as she had 2 previous incidents in the past two days.  Officers took her into custody.  Due to the level of her intoxication, officers contacted Lambertville New Hope Rescue Squad.  While attempting to get the female into the ambulance, the female subject struck an officer in the head with her fist.  She was transported to a local hospital where she was treated and released back to the officers’ custody.  Officers arraigned the female subject and she was transferred to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
